Kumpulmi ay Nemnem: April 2014
http://miskina-ano.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 27, 2014. After being in Guatemala for nearly 2 months, I realized I moved in three circles or types of environments:. 1) The Spanish School Circle - my first environment. What better world to start with when living in Latin America? Most of the students I met were very friendly. Maybe its because we all had something in common - we were all going through the painful process of trying to learn or relearn Spanish. Its paid off though. As they say, "No pain, no gain.". My town is currently having a 5 day fair, called La Feria de San Sebastian. Its your typical fair with rides:. Wednesday, May 27, 2015. Si Me Voy de Aquí Mañana …. 8230; o en un mes. 1) Epic Rap Battles vs SNL. SNL is being called out for its lack of Asian cast members. Witness Manny Pacquiao played by a white woman. Lame In defense of SNL, I can think of at least two former cast members who are part Asian, Rob Schneider and Fred Armisen. That's like what? Two during the last 40 years. On the other hand, Epic Rap Battles of History. 2) Farewell Song for Panama. Note to Giles: record a longer version of this song.

Thursday, November 27, 2014. We Have To Go Back …. 8230; and reminisce. Not actually go back. Just reminisce. About Cameroon, I mean. 1) 1 Year Anniversary. About a year ago, I was giving stool samples to Peace Corps as part of my medical check-up to wrap-up my service in Cameroon. How time flies. Ah, Cameroon … one of the most unreal or surreal things I've ever experienced. Its hard to put into words those two years. Maybe "Its complicated"? Stickers since I left Cameroon. 2) Quote of the Day. On a more...

Monday, March 02, 2015. The Bad Man Punted Baxter! Fellow PCRV from Guatemala: Panamanians tell me I don't speak Spanish. Me: Yeah, they tell me that, too. But as they tell me that, I'm thinking, "I'm not speaking Spanish? You're not speaking Spanish either. I don't know what you're speaking.". Fellow PCRV: We're all pretty much speaking garbage Spanish. 1) Conversin' with the Locals. Trying to get into the flow of Panamanian Spanish:. Talking about law schools. 2) They Do Eat Bush Meat. Wednesday, October 16, 2013. Tu Dis Tomate, Je Dis Tomato. A look back at some of the conversations I've had with Cameroonians:. 1) Cameroonian: "You should leave a mestizo child before you leave Cameroon. You should also try tuba, a type of traditional food.". 2) Cameroonian: "When someone calls you 'le blanc', 'ntangan', or 'chinois', that should not be a problem. You should not be offended.". Me: "So its ok if I call Cameroonians 'le noir' or 'evindumot' (Bulu for black person)? Me: "Peace Corps.".

Saturday, August 10, 2013. Une Ode Pour le Sud. Tyrion: "The northerners will never forget.". Tywin: "Good. Let them remember what happens when they march on the south.". The south region of Cameroon gets a lot of flak. Its too "derangey." The people are lazy. They're rude. Well, lets talk about the positives. South, how much do I admire thee? Let me count the ways:. 1) It has a rainforest. All it needs is a high profile celebrity to give it publicity, maybe promote ecotourism. *Cough* Sting. 8) You neve...

Monday, May 11, 2015. Checking out the Azuero Fair with my landlord's family. We must've walked for 4 hours throughout the fair:. Funny thing about the visit was that although there were many food stands at the fair, we ate at a McDonald's outside the fair. Check out these tiny frogs. I'm talking 'chiquitita', my new favorite Spanish word. I assume they're on their way to eventually looking like this:. 3) My Two Centavos. Pacquiao is a great fighter and its too bad he lost, but Mayweather was right.

Links to articles on the sidebar about wives and girlfriends (WAG) of athletes while I'm trying to read the sports page. Who gives a sh*t? 3) That's a Switch.
