Figuring Out What I Want – Discoveries

http://www.cherylruffing.com/2016/11/18/figuring-out-what-i-want

Figuring Out What I Want. November 18, 2016. The act of creating every single day, come hell or high water, and my work, overall, benefited. Things have changed. Or maybe I have changed. Yes, that’s it. Not too long ago, I finally realized that I am not working towards a goal: published work, notoriety, lots of money. I am, instead, looking to fill my time with learning, creating, and being. Thus far, it has made all the difference. Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window). The Pursuit of Art.

art – Discoveries

http://www.cherylruffing.com/tag/art

A Work in Progress. February 2, 2017. One of my latest, in-process art journal spreads. I started art journaling nearly five years ago, after I bought my first issue of Art Journaling magazine. Published by Stampington and Co. I was captivated by what I found on the pages: the brilliant colors in Kate Crane. S journal; the it-somehow-all-fits-together conglomeration of the quirky cutouts in Heather Kindt. S ring-bound pages; painted-over pages in the old book Kathleen Barnes. Why I Do These Things. Putti...

Labels are for Products. December 12, 2016. I just read a couple of pieces about the decline of autodidacts. While I was not exactly surprised by what I read here. I finished a bit depressed. Discoveries – Cheryl Ruffing

What You Have All Been Waiting For. January 5, 2017. Here it is: an About page for this site. Finally. I’m publishing it as a post. Loading it up on the page marked About, because you don’t want to miss this good stuff. 🙂 Ready? I’ve discovered that I am a slow learner, and this comes as a bit of a shock since I was such a good student in school. As I say, though, I am a slow learner, and it took me much too long to realize that learning and schooling seldom go hand-in-hand. Ruff Edge Design Photography.
