Found a great traditional English Fish and Chip shop. Good food and value. It's just a few yards from the canal. The name, 'Liz's Plaice'. We called in at lunchtime for a feast. The big screen and crowd of about 400 in the lounge gave a real match feel to the occasion and we were pleased to have made the effort to see the game here. Cheshire Cat in Martinique. Monday, July 16, 2007. Martinique; The island of flowers. Fishing boats in Grande Anse. We sailed to Martinique in company with Sue and John on Saltscar, and anchored off the shore together with several other boats near the town of St Pierre. Near the ferry dock there was a super little open market with really fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as a fish market and a meat market. Sue and I wandered around the market feeling that here at last we were truly in the Caribbean.

We took ages beating into the wind from Nevis to get to Montserrat , as usual it was on our nose. We still seem to be constantly sailing into the wind – lumpy, bumpy and sluggish.
