Confessions of a chess novice: September 2005

http://chessconfessions.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html

Sunday, September 25, 2005. I truly am a knight errant. I started reading Don Quixote. On a related topic, I have been chugging away at Tasc Chess Tutor (TCT). I have made some headway into the third Step, but am still repeating the final theme from Step 2. As you can see, there are various themes in Step 2: double attack, discovered attack, pins. This final, 12th theme in Step 2 is the well-known tactical motif of Tests. The right panel shows my performance on mini-circle two:. Sunday, September 11, 2005.

Confessions of a chess novice: November 2005

http://chessconfessions.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html

Tuesday, November 22, 2005. Update, and an imminent break. I have been playing games at Playsite. Under the handle 'suxatchess'. :). It has been a lot of fun, as there are many more people at Playsite who are at or even below my skill level. It is heartening, though, as six months ago even at Playsite I was getting my butt kicked by the lower rated players! This doesn't happen as much now. The experience at Playsite has also made me realize how good. Hence, I will be INSANELY. Wednesday, November 09, 2005.

Confessions of a chess novice: Three days to submit for October!

http://chessconfessions.blogspot.com/2011/09/three-days-to-submit-for-october.html

Thursday, September 29, 2011. Three days to submit for October! October 1 is the deadline for submitting to the October Chess Improvement Carnival. Mark Weeks is hosting, and has the announcement here. Posted by Blue Devil Knight at 9/29/2011 08:42:00 AM. It seems the carnivals are going strong, with contributions mounting. Thanks for your constant support for them this past year, not to mention coming up with the idea in the first place for their use in the chess improvement revival.

chess and choir: Victory!

http://koorpret.blogspot.com/2005/06/victory.html

Friday, June 03, 2005. Tonight I've finished my 7 circles. 1680 problems in 83 days. Now I can sleep again on decent times, do something in the house, feed my pets and husband with home coocked meals, do some trout fishing, see the sun again, (is it still hanging there? Hang out with my choir friends and have a beer after singing, instead of running home to do my circles. I think I have family somewhere, I hope they did not forget me. I feel like a chess-junk, I do even dream of chess positions. King of ...

Why must I lose to this idiot? Am I a bigger one?: Chess tactics server

http://nimzo2k8.blogspot.com/2008/03/chess-tactics-server.html

Why must I lose to this idiot? Am I a bigger one? 2008 március 24., hétfő. First I would like to welcome our new knights, Silver King and Sir Kaan Kara. Good luck to them. After I had tp return my tactics book to the library, I've gone back to CTS, like many other knights. Too bad its addicting and develops bad habits (I lost an OTB pride game because of moving first, then thinking about what Ive done) but I need my dose, so gotta go! 2008 március 29. 15:42. 2008 május 13. 3:40. 2008 május 13. 16:04.

Why must I lose to this idiot? Am I a bigger one? 2008 február 22., péntek. We have 2 new knights: Simple Knight and Caquieto Knight, but we have also lost a knight. Good luck to the new knights and I hope that Samurai Knight will return one day. I won a slow game today on FICS against a guy who wasn't too good, but lost a game I had won. Once Dr. Fritz finishes diagnosis, I will publish the gory details. Feliratkozás: Megjegyzések küldése (Atom). King of the Spill. Sir Pale Morning Dun. I am a lazy.

King of the Spill. One chess player's journey from? Wednesday, December 27, 2006. I am beginning to wonder about these problems. Although they highlight my weak areas, some of the themes are obscure. For instance, how many opportunities do beginning/intermediate players have to use a double sacrifice? That theme is a bit of a mind-bender. Posted at 8:09 PM. Click to see this post's 1 comment(s). We are starting to wonder about these issues. Runescape Gold. That will theme is a bit of your mind-bender.
