Happy Homeschoolers

Thursday, December 31, 2015. At the end of the 2015 holiday shopping season we have collected much of the Festival of Trees 2016 inventory. Mantle - we need to agree on specs and submit to Dad. Hat rack - specs to Dad. 6' or 6'6" turned 4x4 on lathe, with coat hooks around. Hats - ask Hollie to knit 3-4. Maybe a couple scarves, as well. Floor - carpet remnant? Part ice, part carpet? Books - snowman books from book orders. 4-5 is plenty. Chair - Refinish a shabby chair from Mom's porch? 3 of these 8" balls.

Happily Ever After: April 2012

http://cmreederfamily.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html

Sunday, April 29, 2012. Having dinner with Pereyras. Don't you wish you were here? Posted by Merinda Reeder. Tuesday, April 17, 2012. We have monthly Sunday dinners with all my Utah relations. Second Sunday Dinner was on the short list of things we missed the most when we lived in Maryland. [We now have a different list of things we miss.]. I love that our kids are surrounded by cousins. Some of the fellows in manly conversation. To my distant readers and Reeder Fans, we miss you. Posted by Merinda Reeder.

Happily Ever After: October 2010

http://cmreederfamily.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

Sunday, October 24, 2010. Have I mentioned lately how much I like visitors? The #1 coolest thing about being in D.C. is that we are a vacation destination, and we make great vacations possible for people who would not be able to do it otherwise. Mostly family. Like my brother, David, and his wife, Hollie. Like Pennsylvania. David and Hollie really wanted to see Gettysburg, and so did we. On this trip, they provided us a night in Gettysburg so we could spend two days at the battlefield. The ultrasound tec...

Happily Ever After: June 2011

http://cmreederfamily.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html

Thursday, June 16, 2011. Some 336 photos highlight some of the artifacts and monuments that we saw in Gettysburg. I won't post them all. Grandpa Reeder and Clinton captained the van with Emma and Tommy. I jumped from one vehicle to the other. Lizzy was the constant copilot in Grandpa Tec's Jeep. Lizzy and Linda on the Confederate Lines. We listened to an audio tour on CD as we drove through the battlefield. You'll shoot your eye out. Altogether now, Ladies. Me with 3 generations of Reeder men. We enjoyed...

Happily Ever After: February 2012

http://cmreederfamily.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

Sunday, February 12, 2012. Yesterday was the big move. We slept here starting Wednesday and we have been moving a bit each day. Clinton is playing the piano. I love that. We installed our new washer and dryer last night and the test load is patiently waiting and wrinkling in the dryer. We bought a lawn mower at a garage sale yesterday. We are home owners. The piano sounds nice. Posted by Merinda Reeder. Tuesday, February 07, 2012. The bad news and the good news. Our agent called me yesterday afternoon.

Happily Ever After: April 2013

http://cmreederfamily.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html

Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Mom really wants my vacation photos, all of them, where she can see them. I put them up on Google because I could load a huge stack all with drag and drop. She doesn't Google . I went to put them on Facebook, but that was cumbersome, too. I don't picasa just yet. So here, Mom, are a few photos from your trip. Jungle Cruise, me in Tom's hat. The 5 big girls. 5 adults and 8 kids. And a lot of princesses. Mom tried on some silly hats. She only bought one of them: a big-brimmed f...

Happily Ever After: May 2012

http://cmreederfamily.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html

Tuesday, May 22, 2012. Saturday (yes, I'm going out of order) we participated in the family 5K fun run. Notice I say we didn't compete. We completed the 5K in about an hour, pushing a stroller and, for much of the course, carrying Emma on our shoulders. Turns out she likes our shoulders better than the cushy inside of a double stroller. Did I mention that they are fabulous, those helpers? Remember this picture from St. Patrick's Day? Compare to this: Thanks Rob and Janice. Posted by Merinda Reeder. If yo...

Wednesday, March 28, 2012. Posted by Merinda Reeder. This is the back of my house. 3 nice men with a trailer of windows just showed up. Posted by Merinda Reeder. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). In any good story, after the princess meets the handsome prince, they get married and live happily ever after. The story tellers are often sketchy on what that entails. Let me enlighten you. Happily Ever After: March 2011

http://cmreederfamily.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Wednesday, March 09, 2011. Why is it that we only seem to go dancing when I'm extremely pregnant? These are pictures from our stake valentines dance. Several friends from our ward were there, so we decided to get into a group picture, just like high school. That turned out to be our last date for a while. Posted by Merinda Reeder. Monday, March 07, 2011. So I posted my birth plan right here, announced my intention to go all-natural and have a drugless delivery. I have never met a variety of anesthesia th...

Happily Ever After: January 2012

http://cmreederfamily.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html

Monday, January 30, 2012. I should be cleaning up my house right now. But I'm not. Since 1996 I have moved a lot. I have been a transient gypsy. Can I count my moves? I have packed up and moved 28 times. In the next week or two, we'll do number 29. It is time to load up the mess we have made in the last 5 weeks and get set to sign the papers for our house. We are just waiting on Fannie Mae to go over the papers, and then we sign. I should be packing and cleaning and tidying. Or at least cooking dinner.

Happily Ever After: September 2011

http://cmreederfamily.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html

Wednesday, September 28, 2011. If you read The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman, you'll know that one love language is Gifts. Its the one language that neither Clinton nor I need. I mean, I like a good gift, and I can give a well-thought-out and appropriate present when the occasion presents itself. but without an occasion I rarely think of it. This morning Emma woke up and her Daddy gave her a gift for no other reason than it was a Wednesday morning and he loves her. Posted by Merinda Reeder. I clean...
