http://chevrefeuilleshaibun.blogspot.com/2012/10/the-hot-summer-of-1998-haibun.html

Friday, October 12, 2012. The Hot Summer of 1998, a haibun. Somewhere in the hot Summer of 1998 it was I thought, but it easily could be in another hot Summer. I was on a holiday with my family in Benidorm (Spain). It was told that once a giant had broke a piece of the mountains in the backland of Benidorm and had thrown it into the sea. I wonder . A little smile on my face made my wife laugh. 'What are you thinking of? She asked. I shook my head. 'Nothing my dear'. I answered. 'Nothing'&...I feel a giant.

Chèvrefeuille's haiku-blog

This blog is about haiku. A classical haiku counts 5-7-5 syllables. Chèvrefeuille (the pseudonym of Kristjaan Panneman, a Dutch haiku poet) however writes his haiku in the Kanshicho-style. In the Kanshicho-style the classical syllable count isn't used. Matsuo Basho (1644-1694), a haiku poet, wrote his haiku in Kanshicho-style for several years, but he returned to the classical way of haiku writing! Anonymous comments will be seen as SPAM! Tuesday, January 23, 2018. Breathtaking views in the Himalayans.
