http://chicwithstix.blogspot.com/2007/09/settling-in.html
The knitting perspective.from novice to expert. I am settling quite nicely over at Wordpress.com. My new blog home is: http:/ chicwithstix.wordpress.com/. Hey, how am I suppose to leave a witless comment on your new blog if there is no link for comments? BTW, your husband is getting too old for "quick" visits. He spends more time sleeping, than getting into trouble. 22 September, 2007 19:45. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A knitter with too many WIPs on her stix. View my complete profile.

Wednesday, April 6, 2011. The mittens are finished! Misti Alpaca Baby Me Boo Aran weight. 36 Stitch Mittens by Elizabeth Zimmermann, in. The results are fine - very wearable - but with some not so great points. They are too baggy (I did get gauge). The thumb is that awful restrictive unnaturally positioned one at the front of the palm. The weaving at the top is a little awkward. I would tweak this pattern a. Labels: Knitting Without Tears. Knitting Elizabeth: August 2010
http://knittingelizabeth.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 29, 2010. EZ knitting for the very first time. I learned how to knit in 1985, and only first heard of Elizabeth Zimmerman in 2005. Two of her books have been sitting on my bookshelf untouched and unread until last week, when Twitter. About an EZ KAL and this group blog. My first EZ project is the Norwegian Mittens from Knitter's Almanac. From my yarn stash: Sublime Angora Merino. Needle size: 4.0mm. After many false starts, the first cuff is well underway but the fluffiness. I plan to use ...

Knitting Elizabeth: 36-Stitch Mittens
http://knittingelizabeth.blogspot.com/2011/03/36-stitch-mittens.html
Friday, March 18, 2011. This is the first of the pair of mittens I'm knitting - the pattern is '36-stitch mittens' from Knitting Around. I like the pattern - it's pretty simple, and very well explained in the book. There's a nice detail whereby you decrease sharply for the cuff so that it sits snugly on your wrist. I'm not a fan at all of this type of thumb - I do like a good gusset! I'm up the ribbing on the second mitt, and looking forward to wearing the FOs. Labels: Knitting Without Tears. Tea And Cak...

Knitting Elizabeth: September 2010
http://knittingelizabeth.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 20, 2010. I've finally finished the Pi Shawl, and it's. The edging took almost as long as the shawl, but in the end it's totally worth it. Here it is pre-blocking. I think it measured approx 45" across:. I put it into a bath of Soak to get it nice and clean and wet to block it, and look what happened! The red dye came POURING out of the yarn! My heart was in my mouth that I was after ruining it, after all the hard work! Thankfully it doesn't seem to be any worse for the wear:. I have to...
