知覧武家屋敷群にある 西郷恵一郎庭園 南九州市帰属 で初めて、室内が一般公開されました。 4月29日 5月5日迄の期間限定ですが、 薩摩の小京都 知覧武家屋敷庭園群の趣を味わって頂けることと思います。 佐多直忠氏住宅 附 腕木門 目隠し(屏風岩) と 森重堅氏住宅 附 蔵 が、鹿児島県の 有形文化財(建造物) に. 知覧麓庭園 として、国の 名勝 文化財に指定され、その後武家屋敷通りの周り18.6haが国の 重要伝統建造物群保存地区 に選定されました。 母ヶ岳の優雅な姿を取り入れて、麓一帯を庭園化した美しい町並みで、７つの庭園は昭和５６年に 知覧麓庭園 として、国の 名勝 文化財に指定されています。 武家屋敷群の18.6haも国の 重要伝統的建造物群保存地区 に選定されています。 昨年は、ＮＨＫ大河ドラマ 天璋院篤姫 が放映され話題となり、多くの方々が鹿児島 知覧に来られました。
