Wednesday, July 17, 2013. While we are busily awaiting the coming baby, the issue of language weighs on my mind. Me: "Towa, we're going to the pool tomorrow.". Towa: "Poolじゃないよ、ダーディ。プールだよ! Translation: It's not called a pool daddy, it's a puuru! Japanese pronunciation of pool]. Well, at least she understood my question in English, and she knew what I meant. So all in order I suppose. And I learned to call it プール and definitely not a pool. Similar questions arise over Hospital. Chris, Kokoro, Ren, Towa.

Saturday, June 27, 2009. I can't believe it's been 10 years. It seems like yesterday, yet so long ago. We didn't go anywhere spectacular to celebrate but had a nice night out to celebrate (we went to Flagstaff last month for a friend's wedding and "counted" that as our trip). Here's what I remember from our first 10 years:. 1 Always put the toilet paper with the paper going over, not under. 3 If I love something for dinner, don't have it all the time or you'll grow to hate it. Holden isn't having a party with friend but his good friend Slater got him this for his birthday. Holden was so thrilled. Holden waiting patiently for family to show up so he could open his gifts. My 5 wonderful kids Holden (5), Tevin (16), Sloane (9), Harrison (14) and Chandler (16). Slippers so he can match mommy at night.
