Fees for a mediation. Chris Makin is transparent about fees. He uses the scale published by the National Mediation Helpline ("NMH"), which since 1 April 2009 has been:. Up to 5,000 Small Claim 1 hour*. No charge for preparation; 50 for a mediation of up to 1 hour. Up to 5,000 Small Claim 2 hours*. No charge for preparation; 100 for a mediation of up to 2 hours; excess hours at 50 per hour or part. 5,000 to 15,000 Fast Track. 15,000 to 50,000 Multi Track. 50,000 to 100,000. As agreed with the mediator.
