Day 2 →. After saying an emotional farewell to everyone I started my journey of a lifetime. I wasn't looking forward to the flight but luckily managed to get quite a bit of on and off sleep. Once I woke up I had amazing views of Australia (I am so glad I was upgraded to a window seat), what a great way to start my trip off. I then returned to the hostel in scorching sunshine and spent the rest of the day trying to stay awake, but by 7 I couldn't keep my eyes open so had to give in! Enter your comment here.

I set my alarm for 5am on Thursday morning, struggled to get up, but I crept around trying to not wake anyone up, then I went downstairs to wait with Jade, Shannon and Hazel for our bus. Today I had a relaxing morning in the hostel then headed in the city in the afternoon and went on a little boat that went down the river a little way and under the Story Bridge. I got off and had a drink at a nice bar to escape the rain for a bit.
