https://hampshireangling.blogspot.com/2015/08/a-few-days-on-famous-river-wye.html
Tuesday, 11 August 2015. A Few Days on the Famous River Wye. Well oxygenated water, perfect looking barbel run! The first section of the stretch at our accomodation. The first swim, would love to try this in Winter for pike! A very scenic swim! Not a particularly large barbel, but a nice start! About to refill the feeder. A new personal best at 5lbs exactly. Lovely looking little barbel to end the trip. The landscape is idyllic! Think it's fair to say Nicholas had a good few days too. My season has had q...

Hampshire Angling Adventures: April 2015
https://hampshireangling.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, 23 April 2015. More Stalking Carp and Night Session. After this quick picture I slipped the nice common back to its watery home and after that I decided to head home and get some revision done. Low Double Common off the top! After a reasonably cold night and the light starting to arrive again, I re-casted both of my rods and it wasn't long after this until I got a run on the tench and bream rod. I lifted into a weight of some description, but this was a leaping bream! Tench for the future!

Sunday, 29 March 2015. Chalkstream Roach and Dace - WRITE UP. This season dace and roach have been species I have felt intrigued to target, as at the best of times both species can be tricky opponents especially in a low and clear river. Lovely brace of 'Darts'. A lovely summer brace caught on free-lined bread over the top of light loose feed, it's marvellous watching the fish take! Fine looking roach on a generous lump of bread. Another pretty bag of dace. Brace on the Maggot Feeder. I ended the day wit...

https://hampshireangling.blogspot.com/2015/08/fishing-for-bars-of-gold-with-duncan.html
Sunday, 2 August 2015. Fishing for Bars of Gold with Duncan Charman. It wasn't long again until I heard a single bleep on my alarm and see my bobbin drop and then rise, another fish was on! Not long after Duncan placed his fish in the net, his alarm woke up again and he was into yet another good rudd. This was again an interesting fight and another low 2 was in the net. Duncan with a quick shot of his 2lb 7oz Rudd before release. New PB of 2lb 4oz. And checking out his website. Duncan's 2-7 going back!

Hampshire Angling Adventures: Remedy for Mullet Madness
https://hampshireangling.blogspot.com/2015/08/remedy-to-mullet-madness.html
Sunday, 2 August 2015. Remedy for Mullet Madness. A fair few boats in the Harbour! Paul's first of the day. It wasn’t long until Paul was into another fish and this time it was a slightly better fish, which certainly would not give up and during the fight, I meanwhile managed to catch a single little school bass in the channel behind. After what seemed like an arm-aching fight for Paul he was displaying triumphantly another nice mullet for the camera. Personal Best Thin Lipped Mullet. RECIPE: Crispy-Skin...

Hampshire Angling Adventures: June 2015
https://hampshireangling.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 2 June 2015. Fly Fishing for Trout on Small Rivers. From later April to Mid June is a great time for targeting trout on the dry fly! Working the fly upstream on my session with Chris. One of very few Mayfly seen on my travels - Thanks for the picture Chris! Although not all vividly spotted, a true wild brownie is a fine reward as it has a very suspicious nature. My first trout of the day on my session with Chris, lovely to be in the water, a nice way to quickly release the fish! It has been an e...

Hampshire Angling Adventures: ABOUT ME
https://hampshireangling.blogspot.com/p/blog-page.html
Hello, I'm Tom. One of my first attempts on a river! I started fishing when I was 7 with my father at my local lake, where we used to have fun catching small roach and perch, coupled with the odd bonus carp, tench and bream along the way. We then started enjoying fishing a few local day ticket waters which gave us the chance to enjoy catching some more carp on light tackle which gave many hours of enjoyment! One of my many perch sessions! First fish into double figures. From watching various 'YouTube' vi...
