These were the only raincoats I saw on my sunny days there. I started my day with the Underground Seattle tour that was highly recommended by Rachel (thanks! I also found the Seattle Public Library too. It was an awesome building. I grabbed a smoothie in their coffee lounge and then walked around marveling at their use of helvetica. I agree. The...

Pets, Posts and Medical Mysteries. Random musings of a new EM Resident in NYC. Monday, October 19, 2009. Enjoying NYC once again. Took a while, but I finally got back around to enjoying NYC - or just enjoying everything in general. I just finished a month on the Acute Care Surgery service at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. I learnt a lot, I worked hard, did 30-hour call ( horrible. First, there were the 3rd row seats in the endzone at the Eagles game in Philly. Thursday found me at Carnegie hall with Ele...

Pets, Posts and Medical Mysteries. Random musings of a new EM Resident in NYC. Sunday, September 20, 2009. My parents are still gladly suffering through "ridgeback puppyhood" with Deka, who is now 8 months old! Rob and I went over for some sukiyaki the other night (and some furrball time). Sukiyaki = the best food EVER. Japanese mish-mosh of yumminess. Back to the nonexistent point. I was really impreesed with how Dek is doing! The whole point is to just share some pics to the pets! However, upon further reflection, I realized that I saw some very important things. A woman who I now have the highest respect for who did the entirety...

http://leahhamburg.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Pets, Posts and Medical Mysteries. Random musings of a new EM Resident in NYC. Sunday, December 20, 2009. I would like to thank this snowstorm. for keeping the ER quiet. and only creating a few Saturday night drunks instead of a ton (although the one I'm taking care of is particularly vomit-y). ER entrance, midnight. Saturday, December 12, 2009. And The Moral of the Story. There was the woman who tripped at a holiday party she was hosting. Turned out that she hadn't tripped - she had had a massive. Becau...

Pets, Posts and Medical Mysteries. Random musings of a new EM Resident in NYC. Saturday, August 14, 2010. Something that I enjoy as a NYC resident is the so-called pastime of "people watching." Fortunately, Rob is also a world-class people-watcher and the two of us can go to a park or sit in outside at a restaurant or starbucks quietly and completely comfortable with each other watching the world go by. Occasional comments pass such as "awwww" or giggles and most often, "did you see. Kerin Rose X Fatlace.

Abby's Road Trips: The Great Pacific Northwest Tour
http://abbyroadtrip.blogspot.com/2012/09/the-great-pacific-northwest-tour.html
Traveling down Abby's road. Sunday, September 23, 2012. The Great Pacific Northwest Tour. I've never been there. A few of my friends moved to to Seattle in recent years. Who doesn't love the West Coast? As I boarded my planes to head toward Seattle, I noticed people were becoming a lot friendlier. On my flight from Minnesota to Washington, my seatmates enthusiastically told me places I should go. They both lived there or had lived there. I also loved my breakfast view from the pier by the market. Bainbri...
