Climb for Cancer 2016 – The Event

Climb for Cancer is structured as a climbing marathon, with the winning team being the one to climb the highest within the allotted time of competition. Length of competition will be 4 hours. Made up of 2 to 4 climbers of any age, male or female. To be the team to climb the highest (wall height multiplied by the number of laps the team completes) plus the bonus number of feet corresponding to funds raised. All participants must have a waiver on file at participating gym. All existing gym rules apply.

What You Need To Know. What You Need To Know. Raquo; Climb for Cancer. On May 26th, 2013 we hosted our first ever Climb for Cancer and we climbed to conquer cancer! Teams of 2-4 people climbed and raised money through sponsorship. It’s a marathon style top-rope competition where teams climb as much as they can. Each dollar raised adds 2 feet to their total height climbed. All proceeds go to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. Climbed: 121,887 feet. Total Score: 140,839.42. Raised: $10,671.93.

In November 2013 they were able to expand to the unit next door and nearly double the size of their facility. They are now able to offer yoga/fitness classes, a training area with a treadmill, weights and more, a viewing deck, kids walls, and more bouldering and roped routes.
