These students all gave some of their own free time to help us reach our goal:. Many thanks to Toni Coral for her coordination of our on-line profile. Finally, there were two women without whom, this campaign would not have existed: Cat Ruffner and Lisa Vreede. Climbing for Success: Word from a slightly lower elevation

http://climbingforsuccess.blogspot.com/2011/06/word-from-slightly-lower-elevation.html

Tuesday, 28 June 2011. Word from a slightly lower elevation. When I spoke with John on Saturday, he said he'd call.then the call was lost. Luckily, I had a chance to speak with John today to get a clearer picture on the end of the climb. Once they hit the top of the head wall, he was able to walk along the ridge wall and over to Wahsburn's Thumb. He said the view was just spectacular. But, looking back on it. he cannot imagine being up there with the weather that was heading their way. Hamtramck, MI 48212.

Tunnel Traveller: May 2015

http://tunneltraveller.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html

I totally appreciate it when Huck Finn says, "All I wanted was to go somewheres; all I wanted was a change.". Sunday, May 3, 2015. Time to Finish Writing This List. I'm never going to finish sharing my list of 50 things I want to do before I turn 50 if I don't do it now, so here are remaining 25 items. 1 Allow a snail to crawl on my arm. I promised Beamish that I would do this ages ago. Time to just do it. 4 Attend a football game at the Big House. 6 I want to go fowling. 8 I live in Canada and have for ...

http://tunneltraveller.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html

I totally appreciate it when Huck Finn says, "All I wanted was to go somewheres; all I wanted was a change.". Friday, May 9, 2014. I give this week four out of five stars. I'm hoping that the first week proves the toughest. My emotions were all over the place and my circular thinking has decreased, but not disappeared. I finished reading one book. In a week. It's a miracle. I had almost forgotten how much I love to read. It has been so lovely to recline on the couch, with the cat snuggled...I have heard ...

Tunnel Traveller: Five More Before Fifty

http://tunneltraveller.blogspot.com/2015/04/five-more-before-fifty.html

I totally appreciate it when Huck Finn says, "All I wanted was to go somewheres; all I wanted was a change.". Saturday, April 25, 2015. Five More Before Fifty. I started this series the other day, but work has been crazy busy, so I haven't even had the energy to write. Sleeping in today gave me the boost I needed, so here are five more things to do before 50. 3 I've lost a bit of confidence in my writing abilities of late. I can't bear to look at the novel I've written because it now sounds trite and...

I totally appreciate it when Huck Finn says, "All I wanted was to go somewheres; all I wanted was a change.". Sunday, February 15, 2015. My job has been keeping me very busy for the last few weeks, and will continue to do so for the next two months. In general, I get home between seven and eight, after a ten hour day. This means I am not getting enough exercise or a balanced diet. Baby steps. That's all I need to take. I will only cause myself unnecessary stress if I try to tackle all the issues a...I'm p...

I totally appreciate it when Huck Finn says, "All I wanted was to go somewheres; all I wanted was a change.". Sunday, August 2, 2015. Should I or Shoudn't I. Several years ago, I attended a weekend retreat, a combination meditation and life-coaching type of deal. The facilitator. At one point, I asked him to stop some minor annoyance and he chided himself as being stupid. He say something to the effect of, "I'm 11, I shouldn't be making mistakes like that." I totally appreciate it when Huck Finn says, "All I wanted was to go somewheres; all I wanted was a change.". Tuesday, March 18, 2014. In a Failing School. Education reformers and policy makers have labeled my school a failing school. In order to save ourselves, we have implemented a number of changes. I can no longer ignore it. The grades are grossly inflated. Students are not learning appropriate study skills. But, more will graduate, making us look better. Welcome to education reform.

I totally appreciate it when Huck Finn says, "All I wanted was to go somewheres; all I wanted was a change.". Sunday, April 26, 2015. The List Keeps Growing. Boy, 50 is a big number, but I feel pretty confident about being able to do many of the things that I am rolling out on my list. These five make the numbers I have shared 15. Enjoy. 2 Apparently, there is Family Space Camp. We are so doing that! 3 Go to the Headlands International Dark Sky Park. I just want a sip. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

I totally appreciate it when Huck Finn says, "All I wanted was to go somewheres; all I wanted was a change.". Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Before I'm In A Nursing Home. At the rate I've been composing this list of 50 things I want to do before I turn 50, I'll be retired, on Chris Christie's timeline. I think I will offer up ten more items today. 1 Simplify. Simplify. Simplify. It's time to start shedding things I don't need or use. For living on my own, I sure do have a bunch of crap. Nor War and Peace.
