Monday, 9 September 2013. Dreaming of Mont Blanc. I am resting in the Cosmiques hut, French Alps, due to rise in three hours time to climb the highest mountain in Western Europe. Months ago I did not care for this ascent. But now I understand what it means to climb Mt Blanc, standing at 4810 metres above sea level. I understand how the mountain fits into the history of alpine mountaineering and the development of Chamonix town. The summit dome 12/7/2013. Tuesday, 16 July 2013. Wednesday, 3 April 2013.

About The Adventure P. Climbing With Friends works in part with the Adventure Park at Sandy Spring Friends School. Our volunteer staff members are employed at the Park as monitors, and our climbers are anyone interested from local retirement communities as well as local special needs programs. Who We Work With. Participants must be at least 5 years old and weigh at least 30 lbs, weigh no more than 265 lbs, and must be physically able. For more information call 301-938-8891.
