Rich Parker: Rock climbing on Ben Nevis
http://richwparker.blogspot.com/2010/06/rock-climbing-on-ben-nevis.html
A life of dangling and hanging around. Thursday, 10 June 2010. Rock climbing on Ben Nevis. Taking advantage of the good weather Al. And I walked in to Carn. Buttress on Ben nevis. Despite the dry spring I wasn't sure how dry the crag would be. We decided on the classic Centurion HVS. 5a which was first class. The two crux, (most difficult), pitches were damp in all the wrong places, but we had no problem and climbed the route in good time. John Sutherland, Simon Christy. Alan Halewood: Notching up a great Glencoe day
http://alanhalewood.blogspot.com/2015/05/notching-up-great-glencoe-day.html
Alan's blog showing his personal and working climbing. Wednesday, 13 May 2015. Notching up a great Glencoe day. Today Malcolm, Mike, Dave. And I had a great day on the Aonach Eagach, the 'notched ridge'. It was dry, warm, windless and there was no snow to worry about- winter taking leave at last! Plenty of snow on Bidean nam Bian and Stob Coire nan Lochan. Fun on the narrow bits. Almost at the end. A spot of late lunch. Now just a little walking to go. East to Rannoch Moor. Spring flowers on the descent.

Today was my last day working with the ATMs. On their Mountain Skills module and the ratios came down so we could go steep. Rich and I headed with a pair each to the South Ridge of A' Chailleach which neither of us had done before. Stunning weather, this november has really been too kind to us. We need some snow! A short walk to the start of the scrambling. A82 now far below. Rich's team going direct. Pretty good day out!

Alan's blog showing his personal and working climbing. Saturday, 16 May 2015. Today I was working for the AMI. The sun DID shine today. But there is a dusting of fresh on the tops. And plenty of this. But look the top holds on this pitch have almost dried out! And there is some dry rock under that roof! But it was flowing on the Gutter. Time to go home! http://alanhalewood.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Alan's blog showing his personal and working climbing. Tuesday, 30 December 2014. Icey in the Lakes. Rich and I have been working with Worksop College for the past 4 days in the Lake District. This is the start of preparation for a pretty unique expedition we have planned in the summer. There was a bit of rope work and some walking with large rucksacks and camping in the snow- sunday night was particularly chilly! Well done to the team for some of whom it was a baptism of fire (or maybe that was ice)?
