Clotho Fiber Arts: November 2011

http://clothofiberarts.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html

A blog about crafting, gardening, mommying. Thursday, November 17, 2011. My first etsy sale! I finally made my first sale on Etsy. I know this might not seem like a 10-exclamation-point-worthy event to those of you who are unfamiliar with Etsy, or those of you who are Etsy sellers that have feedback on 50 transactions. But it's cause for celebration for me! It motivated me to get a few more completed items that were just languishing in the "craft closet" up and listed. Outside the home. It might be d...

Clotho Fiber Arts: muffin recipe

http://clothofiberarts.blogspot.com/2011/09/did-i-mention-there-will-probably-be.html

A blog about crafting, gardening, mommying. Friday, September 2, 2011. Did I mention there will probably be a lot of "off-topic" posts in this blog? Well, it's true. BANANA NUT OATMEAL MUFFINS. 2 cups rolled oats (quick-cooking is okay but not instant). 2 tsp baking soda. 1 tbs baking powder. 1 1/2 cups chopped nuts (I used pecans but walnuts would work). 2 very ripe bananas (almost trash-worthy). 2 slightly less ripe bananas (still somewhat firm). 1/2 stick (4 tbs) melted butter. 1/2 cup granulated sugar.

Clotho Fiber Arts: September 2011

http://clothofiberarts.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html

A blog about crafting, gardening, mommying. Thursday, September 29, 2011. Today was warm, and tomorrow will be warmer. In fact, I might even go as far as to say it has been unseasonably warm for late September in Portland, despite the fact that this is less unusual than most of us think. If you happen to be one of the climate-savvy few who is aware that it is actually the third hottest month of the year on average (according to the Wikipedia entry for Portland. I've also posted before about how usually.

Clotho Fiber Arts: is it fall yet???

http://clothofiberarts.blogspot.com/2011/09/is-it-fall-yet.html

A blog about crafting, gardening, mommying. Monday, September 12, 2011. Is it fall yet? It's not a popular sentiment, this frustration I am having with the lingering summer temperatures. People in Portland complain a lot about the weather. At least I feel that way sometimes. It's always "too" something: too hot, too cold, too wet, too dry, too muggy, too windy. Me? I guess I just like to do cold weather things, like snuggle and sit around with a lap full of yarn. And "You're crazy, this weather is great!

Clotho Fiber Arts: August 2011

http://clothofiberarts.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html

A blog about crafting, gardening, mommying. Thursday, August 25, 2011. Welcome to the Clotho Fiber Arts Blog! It all started a several months ago when I finally decided to start up an Etsy shop. So far it's been slow going, but that's because I generally don't hold on to finished items: I give them away as gifts. (I am hoping that people will purchase my items with the same intent in mind; that is, to bestow them upon others [or maybe themselves, if they've been extra good! That's right: I'm a bus-knitter.

The Fat Bottom Farm: Another Weekend Update

http://www.thefatbottomfarm.com/2015/02/another-weekend-update.html

The Fat Bottom Farm. Tuesday, February 10. I've been busy this weekend with all things Etsy. Making stuff, shipping stuff and then cleaning up all the stuff. I have some new soap listed, french milled vanilla latte and it is amazing. French milled means that it's been double processed, so it's extra rich and moisturizing and is ready to use right away, it doesn't have to cure the normal 4-6 weeks. The rain here in Northwest Oregon has been c.r.a.z.y. for the last few days. My heart broke when I went in t...

The Fat Bottom Farm: Fun & Games

http://www.thefatbottomfarm.com/2015/02/fun-games.html

The Fat Bottom Farm. Friday, February 27. What a week it has been! Monday landed me in the hospital. I went in for a stress test and after getting hooked up to the EKG they decided to admit me. Long story short I was there for three days, had an angio, found out my dissections never healed and I have a blockage. I'm not sure whats going to happen next, but I think it's dumb. I'm giving out free found or stolen prizes to the winner of each round so the pressure to win is going to be intense. Speaking of c...

The Fat Bottom Farm: Blahging About Blogging

http://www.thefatbottomfarm.com/2015/05/blahging-about-blogging.html

The Fat Bottom Farm. Saturday, May 16. My very best blog friend 4 Shoes. Is back to blogging! You really have no idea how happy this makes me, she has inspired me to blog again and now I want her to blog every single day! It seems as though most of my circle of blogs fell out of the loop somewhere along the line and moved to the ever expanding, thought sharing, junk food shaming, over memeing, totally addicting, soul sucking Facebook. When I started this blog it was The Trailerparks Farm. Pictures of cat...

The Fat Bottom Farm: New Blog!

http://www.thefatbottomfarm.com/2015/07/new-blog.html

The Fat Bottom Farm. Sunday, July 19. Well Everyone, The Fat Bottom Farm has run it's course. I don't have enough to post about since I don't have much of a farm left anymore. Since my heart attack and rotten arterial issues that have followed I have had to considerably downsize the "operation". Because of this I haven't been blogging because I haven't felt like I've had anything relevant to say. Hope to see you there! July 19, 2015 at 6:06 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments ( Atom ). The Fat Bottom Farm: Stink Bugs and Waffles

http://www.thefatbottomfarm.com/2015/04/stink-bugs-and-waffles.html

The Fat Bottom Farm. Thursday, April 16. Stink Bugs and Waffles. Spring has arrived on the farm! Everything is beginning to bloom, the grass needs to be cut, and it looks like we're going to have a good crop of cats this year. The other sure sign of the season is the arrival of our new nemesis, the stink bug. Yes, the brown marmorated stink bug, the flying tank, the despicable destroyer of all things green in the garden, the buzzing, stinking, disgusting, horrible new menace of the west. So if the girls ...
