Monday, August 24, 2009. Backwards.here's our day on Gurnsey Lake with the Porters and the Batz's. We call it Dana's Lake because I can't remember the name most of the time! Here's all the kids (minus Jenny) at the end of the day.it was warmer in the water than on the shore! Abbey is taking care of the Porter's dog, Gracie. Dave took a sunset kneeboard ride.isn't that a cool picture? Rod driving Dave around on the knee board. Dana driving the boat.good job, Dana! All the kids did their own variation!

Wednesday, April 7, 2010. OK for those of you who think I'm behind.here's what we just did.take a trip to Chicago. We went to Lincoln Park Zoo- a free zoo in Chicago that had some incredible animals! Bearsthis one had surgery on his tongue but we thought he was cute.we named him drooly bear! A beautiful entry to the free zoo.we give it thumbs up! Saturday, January 2, 2010. We spent New Years Eve with Rudolph and Blitzen.or Jenny and Taryn at the Riekse's. And a masked scary man.or Jenna. Watching clips of ourselves in the crowd at MSU games. On New Year's Day, we had Matt and Gail over, and we played Nerf guns. Anna became quite a good shot. Made pizza dough and "make your own pizza". And Gail and I making birthday and thank you cards. Tuesday, November 23, 2010. We changed our shower curtain in the girl's bathroom from ducks to polka dots and we needed some new art work! So we went to Michaels and got the same paint colors of the polka dots and I let the girls make their own art to hang on the wall! Jenny chose to tape off portions of the page and use all the colors. Abbey drew a picture. We sent Kelly outside to do Splatter Paint. Here's the result.Abbey's Flower. They all look great and they had so much fun! I love my talented girls!

Friday, December 31, 2010. Day Four- Zoo lights. We took it easy on day four.the kids went to Dan and Karen's to play, while Mom and I went shopping and Dave went to in-n-out (again). Then at night we went to the Phoenix zoo and saw the Zoo lights.it was cool! But it did rain a bit. We got wet but we were not cold. A few of us were wearing sandals and we were not cold! Friday, December 25, 2009. Good Morning to the birthday girl! Kelly turned 14 yesterday! She got breakfast in bed, then we had a nice visit with Dave's cousins. Here's the outside of our house this Christmas season-I love the candy cane poles! Then we went to play Lazer tag- -FYI-NO ONE is playing lazer tag on Christmas eve-we had the place to ourselves and got an extra 10 minutes to play because of the birthday girl! We had a blast! Abbey loves her new i-pod, hat and sweater. I got some new slippers!

Friday, November 27, 2009. Here's Kelly playing b-ball-she's number 31. She did great! Here's Abbey playing.she's number 4. She playing against her very best friends. It was very hard for her since every time one of her friends would make a basket, she would secretly high five them on the other side of the court! Here's Abbey trying to talk to her friend Abby and the coaches trying to get them to stop talking! This is Jenny's Girl Scout troop. We made masks. They did such a good job! That's all for now!

Thursday, December 30, 2010. Day One of our AZ Trip. OKthese are backwards.but here you go. We spent Christmas and a few extra days in AZ at my Mom's house and visiting my brother Dan and family. We were able to celebrate two family birthdays while we were there.Day one was Dave's birthday. We ended the day with Apple Pie! We spent the afternoon swimming with Dan and the boys! Swimming on your b-day.how cool is that? We got to eat in-n-out burger.outside! Breakfast in bed.he was awfully spoiled!
