All classes shall be open to amateur performers who are residents of the Sunshine Coast. An amateur is a performer whose principal source of livelihood is not obtained from the practice of or from solo performances in the category in which he/she is participating. The Sunshine Coast Festival of the Performing Arts is a volunteer-driven endeavor. Community volunteers help organize and enure that the various events run smoothly. Festival supporters are encouraged to become SCFPA Society members at $10 a year. For more than forty years our Festival has promoted development of diverse performance skills in our talent-rich community. A person may apply to the Board or Board Executive for membership in the Society, and on acceptance of the Board, shall be a member.
