Gretchen's Giggles: May 2011
http://gretchensgiggles.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Just me.sharing the JOYS of my life with others! Wednesday, May 11, 2011. Wyoming trip and fun stuff! We had an AMAZING trip to Wyoming and Western Nebraska. Such an encouraging time to meet with friends and former youth group students and some parents. I don't think there is anything more encouraging than to see former students who are all grown up and still living faithfully for Jesus! I'm so thankful we had a part in their lives and now we get to partner again with them in ministry! ALL PRAISE TO HIM!

Joe's Jabbers: March 2008
http://joesjabbers.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 31, 2008. Last week I had the privilege to spend an hour at the Village with some friends of mine. They aren't exactly the kind of group that you would expect someone my age to be running around with, yet I found it especially rewarding to be with them. They averaged approximately 40-45 years older than me and have experienced many more changes in their lives and the world around them, than most people I know. Most (all but two) of them were women. Is your heart troubled? Here is an e-mail ...

Joe's Jabbers: May 2010
http://joesjabbers.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 24, 2010. Today, my youngest (of six) turns 13. Wow! Where does time go? Yep, the signs of time are beginning to show. It’s a good thing though. I guess. Because, God has been very good to me through the years! Should be a song title) What makes me so special that You would be so kind? 8221; Imagine that! So what would your life have been like if you didn’t have the Lord as your Savior, your hope, and your guide? Doesn’t He love them as much as you? I assure you, He does! Dear Lord, don’...

Joe's Jabbers: The Amazing Body
http://joesjabbers.blogspot.com/2010/06/amazing-body.html
Wednesday, June 30, 2010. 1 Cor 12) You know, come to think of it, sometimes the body of Christ takes a blow in the chest from a line drive hit by Satan. Often times, we don’t even see it coming. But don’t you worry. God made this body too. It’s stronger than anything Satan can throw our way. He truly is amazing. I Love you Lord! Nah, probably not. unless you add it to a list that is :). June 30, 2010 at 11:31 AM. That would have made a great devotion for September. :). July 1, 2010 at 9:08 AM.

Joe's Jabbers: Children Learn What They Live
http://joesjabbers.blogspot.com/2010/03/children-learn-what-they-live.html
Thursday, March 18, 2010. Children Learn What They Live. As a follow up to the previous post, I would like to share this poem by Dorothy Law Nolte. Children Learn What They Live". If children live with criticism, they learn to condemn. If children live with hostility, they learn to fight. If children live with fear, they learn to be apprehensive. If children live with pity, they learn to feel sorry for themselves. If children live with ridicule, they learn to feel shy. Very well put, don't you think?

Joe's Jabbers: October 2007
http://joesjabbers.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 15, 2007. I've really been enjoying a book by Drs. Les and Leslie Parrott called "The Parent You Want To Be". I'm previewing the book with the plans of using it and the series of lessons that accompany it, in a parenting class that will start after the first of the year. Wow! It's good stuff. It's built around the statement, "Who you are matters more than what you do.". And giving advice on how to identify what personal parenting traits you already have. Have a great week. In His Service,.

Joe's Jabbers: February 2008
http://joesjabbers.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 25, 2008. My daughter has commented at least once a week, for the last month, that I need to update this blog. So, in honor of my first child, here is an article that is fitting. I’ve been challenged in the past while watching students at the academy and at the college, by this word “slacker.” I was reminded of the word this morning as I was greeted by Mark, “Do you have your article done? I’ll have time later, I thought. Is it good enough when you are doing it for the Lord?

Joe's Jabbers: June 2009
http://joesjabbers.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 16, 2009. VBS, the summer event where parents bring their children to the church and drop them off for other people to watch through the morning. Sometimes I think thats the only way we think about it. It's soooooo much more! I want to say in advance, to those of you who will be helping this year, THANK YOU! If your not helping, and would like to help, it's not too late, please give me a call. If you have children, live in the area, and would like to bring them, please do.
