days of wonder and grace: On God's Account
http://daysofwonderandgrace.blogspot.com/2011/07/on-gods-account.html
Days of wonder and grace. Adventures in being a family of faith. Monday, July 11, 2011. The human condition is what it is: fallen. All of us make stupid comments in ignorance, even those of us with special needs kids, because we cannot possibly know what it true about every human difference. Beyond that, we cannot keep up with the ever-shifting current PC. And beyond that, we cannot instantly grasp what another most needs to hear. And I won’t stop praying that God will help. Jesus' notariety spread throu...

Trusting Him one day at at time. First Week of School 2012. First Week of School 2012. Sunday, September 18, 2011. Dad has managed at home last week.no news for now.one day at a time. We've been sticking to it pretty good, so catching up on rest has been one of the benefits. We just went without lights, most of the weekend cooking outside (except today it was raining), and didn't use our dishwasher. Even that was enough of a challenge, how did they do it? We do struggle with lying still around the house,...

days of wonder and grace: Are You Hungry?
http://daysofwonderandgrace.blogspot.com/2011/07/are-you-hungry.html
Days of wonder and grace. Adventures in being a family of faith. Friday, July 1, 2011. After quietly following Hyosun. Ro's Korean cooking blog. For months, I've added her to my sidebar. Her posts are a visual feast of helpful how-to's and are all the encouragement I need to keep expanding our family repertoire of Korean food. Her recipes are easy to use because the ingredients are commonly available in America if you have access to a Korean grocery store for some staples. Black bean paste), not pe-made.

days of wonder and grace: We Are the Experts on Our Own Kids

Days of wonder and grace. Adventures in being a family of faith. Sunday, July 3, 2011. We Are the Experts on Our Own Kids. That's the truth whether we wish it was so or not. I'm conflicted about the fact that I'm conflicted by the encounter. After all, as a historian I essentially do that all the time: play devil's-advocate, prodding the assumptions underlying conclusions, asking, "What if we're wrong about this particular assumption? Why wouldn't I welcome someone doing that for my daughter? Sure: I wou...

I guess that is what you can call it since I spent most of it in the car driving here and there. Chris took the girls to their skating, while I took Jonathan to his 9:45am game (5-5.he put a beauty shot in from the blue line.played D, not his favorite, and he thought he was -1, I thought he was neutral). Girls had 2 hours of ice time today. I am truly sorry, but Friday really put me over the edge.

Trusting Him one day at at time. First Week of School 2012. First Week of School 2012. Thursday, May 31, 2012. Taking back the land. Below is a poor excuse for a garden, can you strain your eyes to see 3 little lighter green thumb shaped plants (bigger than some), opening in a Y? The bush lower left will stay for awhile. It's not food though. We have onions, beets, carrots, beans, cucumbers, and watermelon, but some are not coming up very well, so we'll see. See the pretty bushes? 2 hockey 3on3 games, So...
