The Nation of Othello: Act 1 Scene 3 sum up
http://nationofothello.blogspot.com/2006/03/act-1-scene-3-sum-up.html
The Nation of Othello. A blog dedicated to improving understanding of Othello. Friday, March 24, 2006. Act 1 Scene 3 sum up. Othello leaves Desdemona in Iago's care for war. Iago persuades Roderigo not to commit suicide, but to fight in the war. Iago persuades Othello that Desdemona is with Cassio. Betrayal - seeds of doubt planted. Race - "Your son in-law is far more fair than black" Colour. Jealousy - Iago jealous of Cassio. Is articulate, manipulative and cruel. Is totally misguided "honest Iago".
