The Maple Trees Are Wearing Their Spring Garments. April 05, 2017. Every spring of the year I look for the red blush of color that happens when the Maple trees trot our their pretty garments to welcome the reawakening of the world. In my mind I think about the trees like this: Maples start the year with pretty garments of redish pink blooms and end their growing season with leaves deeper in scarlet color but no less beautiful than the spring garment they started out with. How Does My Garden Grow? But the...

Thursday, April 30, 2015. OF BLOOMS AND BIRDS.MORE DESERT GARDEN BEAUTY. I know - looks tropical, huh? I spied two MASSIVE white blooms truly hidden in the garden. Off the beaten path, and probably missed by most.my mind was wandering as I was walking across the parking lot, and caught these out of the corner of my eye, in a remote section. This was, no exaggeration, the size of a salad plate. I'm sure a lot of people missed this one! Ethel Ms Cactus Garden. Monday, April 27, 2015. A WEEK OF DESERT BLOOMS.

Various paddle cactus - I can. Tell you the one on the right is a Cow's Tongue Cactus. For loved ones in CO, something you'll rarely see - a lizard crossing Rabbit Ears Pass. Bottom left is a Fire Stick Cactus. Warmer temperatures here, after a week of rain, has trees in bloom all over the place. May 3, 2015 at 10:29 AM.

Saturday, 9 February 2013. It's been a while. I haven't blogged for ages, but don't worry, I'm still here and still crafting, but, due to GCSE's and seemingly endless exams and Controlled Assessments, maybe not as much as I would like! I used to mainly sew, but now my passion has to be knitting (although I have finally finished my green quilt which I started 3 years ago! Since last time I have made a couple of hats,. Some lovely cushions (in which I learnt how to cable which I love to do). I just comment...

Thursday, February 20, 2014. I’m so excited to be headed up to northern California tomorrow to attend my niece, Hailey’s baby shower and visit with family. I’m hoping that there is a bit of a chill in the air as it has been way too summer like this winter in southern Cali…( seriously what is the point of making cozy knits if ya don’t get the chance to use them? I’ve completed her gift, a Leia Bonnet along with a pair of matching booties. The hat Pattern is from designer Mel Clarks. Script and Photos by.

Vaccinations In The Confederate Army. April 30, 2015. Mitchell tells me he used a birch toothbrush when he was a kid-right up until one of his oldest brothers got out of the service. One of the newfangled presents he brought home was a shiny new tooth brush and tooth powder. Zeb took Mitchell down to the creek for a memorable lesson in dental hygiene. To this day he has a very grateful little brother! I love sassafras too but my grandpa and I always seemed to go after birch first. Never saw one in use, b...
