the kennedys: I'm back.
http://jaredandjillian.blogspot.com/2012/03/im-back.html
I think ( hope. That I have overcome the "sick" period of this pregnancy. I am starting to get my energy back and very thankfully have been able to eat most foods again. I am just about 19 weeks along and have been loving be able to feel our baby kick. I think that is the point for me when it all becomes real. We will be moving close to my due date. So, I am starting to feel the pressure to have everything purchased, sewn, and ready to go. Oh, the nesting stage. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

the kennedys: September 2011

Please ignore my voice in the background. You don't realize how "annoying" you sound until you hear it in a video clip. Nevertheless, he is adorable. Our little lean machine. 18 pounds, 2 ounces. 18" head (he got Valent genes on this one). He took his first official steps at 9 months and 1 day old. He is up to 12 steps now. However, he still prefers crawling as his primary method of transportation. He has 4 teeth - 2 top and 2 bottom ( that has been pure joy for both of us. There's nothing like a fun fil...

the kennedys: June 2011

Surf lessons and kickball tourney. We went to Arcadia to spend time with the Daines. Lucky for us they were in CA one last time before they move to NY. We had an amazing lunch (thank you Ginger) and some good "quality" conversations. It's always a good time with the Daines. We wish you all the best in NY. Nadia wanted Jared to teach her how to surf. He did a great job. He is very animated (if you didn't know) and he is a great teacher. I think she enjoyed it. That just means we played our hearts out!

the kennedys: baby gender reveal
http://jaredandjillian.blogspot.com/2010/08/baby-gender-reveal.html
I wanted to do something fun to tell my family the gender of the baby. Everyone is excited because this is the first grandchild in my family. J and I were also VERY excited to find out. When we found out we were pregnant, I attributed part of the miracle to that plastic baby. I decided to use the baby and bake it into cupcakes for my family. We all got together for a family bbq to celebrate my sister Maren's 30th birthday and to reveal the baby's gender. Happy Belated Birthday Auntie Maren!

Bake, Bubble, and Broil: Family and Good Food
http://bakebubblebroil.blogspot.com/2012/02/family-and-good-food.html
Bake, Bubble, and Broil. Monday, February 27, 2012. Family and Good Food. The main course was a pork tenderloin that I seasoned with salt, pepper, shallots, garlic, fresh thyme, fresh rosemary, and fresh oregano. I then wrapped the tenderloin in pancetta, which is similar to bacon, but not smoked. All of the herbs on the tenderloin gave it a great flavor. Anne is an AMAZING chef! She's just started her own fantastic blog. Check out her excellent recipes. More cooking to come! March 10, 2012 at 10:24 AM.

Bake, Bubble, and Broil: Farewell Oregon, Hello Utah!
http://bakebubblebroil.blogspot.com/2012/02/farewell-oregon-hello-utah.html
Bake, Bubble, and Broil. Friday, February 3, 2012. Farewell Oregon, Hello Utah! I served the roast with some mashed potatoes. I used the drippings from the roast to make a gravy by thickening it with a little flour. I've found the best way to make a flavorful and smooth gravy is reserve a few tablespoons of the drippings and mix it with the flour or cornstarch first and then add that mixture to the rest of your drippings. Bake, Bubble, and Broil: May 2012
http://bakebubblebroil.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Bake, Bubble, and Broil. Monday, May 28, 2012. Michele Pineapple Upside Down Cake = DISASTER! It's been forever since I've blogged about anything. Part of the reason is that I just haven't cooked very much in the past few months, but the other reason is that I started school at the beginning of May and my time has been greatly consumed with studying throughout the past month. Who is an AMAZING chef, suggested I try a recipe by Tyler Florence. That she absolutely loves and has had great success with. ...

Bake, Bubble, and Broil: June 2012
http://bakebubblebroil.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Bake, Bubble, and Broil. Sunday, June 3, 2012. Nothing says summer like a fresh fruit pie! I decided to escape town for the Memorial Day holiday last weekend. I didn't go anywhere exciting, just home for a nice relaxing weekend. While there I grabbed some fresh rhubarb from my dad's garden. Rhubarb is an interesting vegetable because usually it is treated more like a fruit than a vegetable. It's very tart, so it's often paired with fruits especially strawberries. This recipes calls for a crumb top crust&...
