Recent alum Dr. Fanglu Lu has won the Best Student Paper Award at Compound Semiconductor Week 2015 for his paper, Long-Wavelength InGaAs/InP Quantum-Well-on-Nanopillar Laser Grown on Silicon. Congratulations, Fanglu! Our research on using optomechanical forces inside lasing VCSEL cavities to produce a self-wavelength-swept source, published recently in Scientific Reports.
