When these guys asked me to design and develop a website for them, I knew exactly what they wanted. We designed an experience that is simple, yet reminiscent of this Toronto band’s feel. It ties in well with their recent album release, though not too closely that it’ll soon become obsolete. In fact, almost all the content is kept up to date through integration with Facebook. So the site is always in sync with their profiles. Heading text and body type are set in Signika.

Toronto close-up magician Jonah Babins came to me asking for a website design that would somehow incorporate a strong magic theme with an elegant, clean look. The site uses varied font weights and a playing-card motif of red and black for a look that says corporate rather than birthday party . Thanks to WordPress. Implementation, Jonah can easily add, remove, and edit every page of his website. The site uses Metropolis 1920. For the page title and Helvetica Neue. For the remaining type.

Team AVC was running as an executive team for their student government. A strong social media presence was so vital to the campaign that the team already had a media coordinator. What they were looking for was an online home for their platform a hub where other media could bring voters, that would provide all the information they need to make an informed decision about the team.

Photographer Rachel Bromberg was looking for a place to display her work. She was in need of an online presence, a place where she could showcase her work that was more stable than a blog or Instagram feed. We strove to design a site that adds personality to whatever content is being viewed, without distracting the eye while doing so.
