Shelter! | Desperate Times, Drastic Measures
https://crampedquarters.wordpress.com/2008/10/21/shelter
Desperate Times, Drastic Measures. Living Small Now, to Build Bigger Later. Well, we’ve put an offer in on a home–an old trailer! It’s not very big at all, and will truly test our resolve to carry out this crazy plan! I will post photos if our offer is accepted and we end up buying it! I’ll keep you posted…. Now the small stuff. What to do with that? First, I’ll have to get rid of the shameful amount of kids clothes we own. How much is enough? How much is too little? To TrackBack this entry is:.

Desperate Times, Drastic Measures. Living Small Now, to Build Bigger Later. 640 Square Feet of Living Space. Well, we’ve been in our little trailer for about six months now (time flies)! Things I’ve learned:. 1 I did NOT get rid of enough stuff–I feel like we are way too cluttered. Time for a major spring purge. 3 Having a big backyard really helps! We are currently adding a play fort/swing, which should make outdoors even more fun! Time to go clean up and a have a cup of coffee! Enter your comment here.
A House of Straw | Desperate Times, Drastic Measures

Desperate Times, Drastic Measures. Living Small Now, to Build Bigger Later. A House of Straw. It may sound bizarre to want to build a house of straw, but we want to do it. Here are a few reasons why straw bale construction appeals to us:. 2 Straw is a natural, locally available, sustainable material. I like the idea of “using what’s in your own backyard.” Keep all those house-building dollars in our own community, says I! 3 Straw bale walls are actually safer than conventional walls in a fire! We canR...

Un blog pour suivre la petite vie de famille du clan deVink/Guérette : : : : : : A blog about the family life of the deVink/Guérette clan. It has been a looooooooooong winter here in Saskatoon. We most likely had a good case of cabin fever. Some days it is too cold to go outside, and with two active boys and no family around. it can get hard. So one of those days, we headed to the University of Saskatchewan to surprise the boys. who love dinosaurs. Check out the cool pictures! The boys were so excited!

The Renovation from HELL. September 10, 2016. September 13, 2016. I could pretend that a nor’easter of unprecedented fury bore down upon my little Cape Cod house and wrought tragic destruction upon it, and that would be a good story, but the truth is that I couldn’t bear to look at it the way it was any longer and decided to. Is a nice, clean word that makes you feel all fresh and happy, but the process of. Is a plunge into the nether regions of HELL. And that trip ain’t for the faint of heart. Next came...

Cramped Space Brew
Bryan , 5 Comments. I do want to say that I would hope that anyone out there getting into brewing would try to become closer and closer to their finished product as they become a better brewer. Don't brew with extract. Use public hop varieties. Malt and/or toast some of your own barley if you have the space, and build some cool brewing stuff. And it isn't just about saving money (ALTHOUGH YOU WILL SAVE TONS), its about coming home after a hard day, pouring a brew, sitting on the porch and thinking. I als...
