Crazy Guggenheim's Tales of Mirth and Mayhem. Saturday, October 30, 2010. Bald Eagle Drying Out. After a gully-washer last week, I spotted this beautiful eagle drying himself. He permitted me good access until my presence annoyed him off his roost. At first, I thought it was a bunch of vultures and an eagle feasting in the field off of Rt. 309 but that would have been really weird. In the past, I have seen the eagles feeding together on deer carcasses while the vultures waited patiently nearby.
