Roses on the Water: Woven Embroidery
http://rosesonthewater.blogspot.com/2012/08/woven-embroidery.html
Roses on the Water. Sharing my love of crazy quilting, silk ribbon embroidery, and beading. Saturday, August 11, 2012. I'm always looking for a new embroidery design and recently found this while searching the internet. I'm sure I haven't done it exactly right but I do like the look of the woven threads. I've used an awl to make a hole for the shank of the button. A 1/4" plastic ring secures it on the reverse side and allows the button to lie flush against the fabric. El Desván de la Gata Perezosa. Judith's Material Musings: February 2008
http://jfggmusings.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 27, 2008. A little motif in the journal cover, using the edged dyed ribbon. Fargo roses are tucked in amongst the lavender daisies. I love the effect, adds a little something, don't you think? That's if you can see them. I really appreciate you leaving me your thoughts on CQ too, thanks. Labels: CQ journal cover. Hope you can see this edged dyed ribbon. Tuesday, February 26, 2008. A little more progress. Can you see it in your head or somewhere before you stitch? Do you plan what you ...

At the top of the stocking you might be able to see two of Terry's glass icicles. www.myglassgarden.com I love Terry's creations and these two beauties came with the kit. I can now put it away for Christmas. Sunday, January 27, 2008. Friday, January 25, 2008. Labels: 2008 hospital block. They are such a...

Judith's Material Musings: July 2008
http://jfggmusings.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 20, 2008. Nearly, maybe, not sure. I started this a little while ago, wanted to have a go with the Melanie rose which I have mentioned before. It is a beautiful rose created by Marie Alton which she named after her daughter. I still need more practise but it is a delightful rendition of a full blown rose. Not sure whether I like the stems at this stage. Labels: Silk ribbon embroidery. Sunday, July 06, 2008. Long time no Blog. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). My middle son Cameron's blog. Art is a...

Monday, August 04, 2008. I just wanted to say thanks to all of you who have dropped by and and left me your lovely comments. I have lost the plot a wee bit recently. Dear Pat of Gatherings wrote a few words about me on her blog recently which warmed the cockles of my heart. http:/ gatherings100.blogspot.com/2008/07/award-from-sweet-diane.html. Dear Judith, I only speak the truth. You are one special lady and I am fortunate to have your friendship. You do inspire me more than you know. Always in my heart.
