Wednesday, February 24, 2010. If You Give A Mouse A Cookie. If you give a mouse a cookie, he's going to ask for a glass of milk. If You Give a Mouse A Cookie. If you give a scientist some data, he's going to graph them. Gracias a mi amigo madrileño for graphing the CEA levels. Some of you are asking, "Where are the controls? Well, this is a case study, no controls and. 1 But we'll still write five paragraphs of conclusions, won't we. I searched PubMed to find correlations between CEA levels and prognosis.

The Local Lanes: Test Results
http://locallanes.blogspot.com/2010/09/test-results.html
Tuesday, September 28, 2010. I neglected to tell you the results of the aforementioned scan. Just to keep you in suspense, I'll mention something else first. My port, the bionic vein, was removed last week because I don't need it anymore. This was the device through which the chemotherapy was infused. I call it "bionic," but it didn't give me any superhuman powers, except, maybe, the ability to easily take i.v. Oh yeah, test results. Posted by I-270, Exit 1. September 28, 2010 at 10:14 AM. The Local Lanes: July 2009
http://locallanes.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 31, 2009. Pray, don't do that. Don't pray for me. I mean to say, I do appreciate your thinking of me, but please don't say you're praying for me. After all, what are you asking your god for? Please let his cancer. Go into remission. You know, the cancer that you gave him in the first place? Yeah, make that go away. I would also appreciate not hearing:. God works in mysterious ways. This is a b.s. way of saying that bad stuff happens and nobody knows why. God is testing you. After the discomf...

Monday, July 26, 2010. FOLFOX Round 11: I'm Running Out Of Subtitles. No new side effects to add. I have the same old problems, they just last longer. I had figured to lose my fine motor skills, but I didn't. I'm still able to button my shirts, even those ridiculously tiny buttons on the collar, and I was able to build this:. Yours for the low, low price of $339.99. Posted by I-270, Exit 1. July 27, 2010 at 2:39 PM. July 27, 2010 at 3:54 PM. Awesome Lego model, this grown man is enthralled with its coolne...

The Local Lanes: Places for your stash?
http://locallanes.blogspot.com/2009/12/places-for-your-stash.html
Wednesday, December 16, 2009. Places for your stash? This weekend, Mrs. 270 and I took the kids to Seven Springs. Then I remembered Ross Rebagliati. The Canadian snowboarder who tested positive for marijuana at the 1998 Winter Olympics. He won his event and gave a new meaning to the term "Pot of Gold.". Posted by I-270, Exit 1. December 17, 2009 at 1:01 PM. Of course, being in the snow on top of a mountain makes me think of that great scene in Better Off Dead. Http:/ www.youtube.com/watch? Ha I have some...

The Local Lanes: January 2010
http://locallanes.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 29, 2010. Alles Klar, Herr Kommissar. I just got a call from my oncologist's office - literally, like ten minutes ago. The results of the CT and PET scans came in. All clear. So there are no tumors that were detectable by the scans. Most likely I'll still undergo the next stage of chemotherapy, because (1) that's the standard protocol) and (2) I've wanted to treat this aggressively since day 1 and (to quote Tom Petty again) I won't back down. Posted by I-270, Exit 1. I had PET and CT scans.

The Local Lanes: Where Do We Go From Here?
http://locallanes.blogspot.com/2010/08/where-do-we-go-from-here.html
Monday, August 16, 2010. Where Do We Go From Here? The alternative to ending this is to go on with mindless prattle about everyday things. Today the boys got ready for school on time, without my yelling at them. After I dropped them off, as I was driving to work, some idiot in a 7-series BMW cut me off. So I flipped him off. Then he turned in to my office's parking lot. I didn't know that our director drove a 7-series BMW. Posted by I-270, Exit 1. August 17, 2010 at 2:56 PM. August 17, 2010 at 6:23 PM.

They've prescribed three lines of anti-emetics. Take Kytril. If you still have nausea and vomiting, use Prochlorper. And if that doesn't work, use Lorazepam. If that doesn't work, we'll give you a new prescription. Unfortunately, they don't prescribe Marinol. I have a tumor.". Oh wow. Where are you registered? Amani (Tumor...

The Local Lanes: I Lampoon Our "European" Vacation
http://locallanes.blogspot.com/2010/08/i-lampoon-our-european-vacation.html
Tuesday, August 31, 2010. I Lampoon Our "European" Vacation. Nor the Europe in Orlando, FL. We went to Busch Gardens Europe. In Williamsburg, VA, where roller coasters and other rides are set amidst European scenes, like fake castles and fake marketplaces. The five flags of Europe. Spain was not represented. I write "fortunately," because that's four amigos and 45 million others who won't be pissed off at Anheuser Busch for trivializing their country. Here's a brief look at selected "countries" a...This ...
