Sunday, August 10, 2014. What I REALLY Learned at Market! So I know I have been quiet over the summer. It consisted of taking a trip home to OH where I sustained a HARD Sprain on my right ankle (sewing and driving foot). I was in Ohio at the start of July which is when the Row by Row challenge. My prize was 25 FQs from the fabulous Cotton and Steel. And I finished the Michael Miller. Challenge piece to hang up. It was quilted with my fav Aurifil threads in blue and white! http://www.nohatsinthehouse.com/2015/05/folksy-fish-new-patterns.html
Shop, patterns, etc. Monday, May 11, 2015. Folksy fish {new patterns! For those of you who keep up with me on IG. These fish aren't exactly news. Over the past several weeks (or has it been months? I've been piecing together an arsenal of scandinavian-inspired fish. It all started with a bit of oakshott and some scraps from my friend Heather of Crimson Tate. S new fabric line, Succulents. Would be a mash up of the two lines). On to my itty bitty scrap packs of Karen Lewis Textiles. I've been sketching a ...

Sew Frou Frou Quilter. Spreading warm wishes one quilt at a time…. July 7, 2016. I had to squeeze some typewriters on the back because my daughter loves to write; they were too big to fit into the triangles on the front. May 25, 2015. Bee’s Finished Quilt. The back of Bee’s quilt has the leftover flying geese, her initials, a bee that I wasn’t able to fit into the front and extra girlies (I kind of went overboard when I bought them–I even gave 3 to my longarmer). January 6, 2015. Anyways, enough whining!

Sew Frou Frou Quilter. Spreading warm wishes one quilt at a time…. Bee Blocks and fabric indulgences. February 24, 2014. So much has been going on this month with the kids and trying to keep up with my self-imposed quilty deadlines that my blog has suffered a little. So let’s catch up. First, the Albatross is not quilted (yet) but it is basted. It’s a good thing this quilt isn’t any bigger or I would have had to baste it in the basement (shudder). FABRIC INDULGENCES, ETC. Since I am participating in 2 be...

Juicy Bits: 238: a booth for Cascade
http://juicy-bits.typepad.com/juicy_bits/2014/12/238-a-booth-for-cascade.html
Laquo; 237: Cascade blog tour. December 09, 2014. 238: a booth for Cascade. 0160;I sucessfully designed and constructed a gorgeous booth for Quilt Market. And what do I have to say about that? I knew if I was going to do a booth, I was going to do it right. So hard walls were a given. Figuring out how to make them = not so easy. But they arrived in tact, so there really are miracles. The ladder of quilts was screwed to the walls and I cant really see it standing like that at home, but it has definitel...

A bit about my life, as I strive to celebrate life with others, create a bit of beauty when I can, and cultivate curiosity about the world we live in and the God I serve. Quilting Among the Groves. Monday, September 22, 2014. Sunday Stash: Fabric Shop Tour 6. I haven't been shopping for fabric in a while. I'm not sure that I can top the fabric adventures from my summer vacation. I was strategic on the last stop of this tour, taking an alternative route between Michigan and Florida to check out Crimson Tate. I LOVE this store! Much to my surprise, I was not going to find just. Great fabric, but I was going to meet some great sewists/makers, (celebrities in my book! I don't...
