The SpeedGeek's MotorSports Blog. A periodic (i.e. whenever I feel like) journal of Motorsports stuff (i.e. whatever I feel like) and opinions (i.e. just whatever). Friday, May 28, 2010. The title of this post was going to be " Carb. Day Highlights", until I realized that some of the things that I saw were not highlights at all, but were instead either lowlights. Damn Then it's today's) Planet- IRL. Com First Annual Blogger Summit. Then, it was cars on the track. Actual IndyCars. Who ground to a halt rig...

According to Kristi: Rocky Mountain National Park (Colorado, part 7)
http://accordingtokristi.blogspot.com/2012/09/rocky-mountain-national-park-colorado.html
Tuesday, September 18, 2012. Rocky Mountain National Park (Colorado, part 7). After lunch, we spent the rest of the day driving through the park, stopping at the main tourist spots throughout the park- Here's pictures from one of the lookout spots we stopped out - Farview Curve. From this lookout you could see the road (to the left of the tree in the middle) that we had just been on maybe 5 minutes before. Our next stop was at Milner Pass with the Continental Divide. Even though we had spent all day ther...

Friday, August 31, 2012. Having Fun Around Dillon (Colorado part 2). The condo we stayed at was located in Dillon, Colorado along Lake Dillon, at an elevation of 9, 087 feet. The first day in Dillon we just walked around the lake and down to the Dillon Marina. The kids had a blast throwing rocks into the lake. They were able to touch the mountain water for the first time, and decided that they didn’t want to go swimming (I wouldn’t want to either - that water was freezing cold). While we were there, the ...

Wednesday, April 27, 2011. Our Adventure of Dyeing Easter Eggs. Dyeing Easter eggs with a 4 ½ yr old, pretty easy. Dyeing eggs with a 4 ½ yr old and a 2 yr old boy, very challenging…. but we had lots of fun. Brooke needed just a little bit of help this year, mostly because we were afraid to break the eggs dropping them in the dye containers. But she was very determined on what colors she wanted and how bright the colors needed to be. First, let’s put on the eye shadow…. Next, straighten my hair…. There a...

According to Kristi: Adams Falls (Colorado part 6)
http://accordingtokristi.blogspot.com/2012/09/adams-falls-colorado-part-6.html
Tuesday, September 11, 2012. Adams Falls (Colorado part 6). We entered the Rocky Mountain National Park through the west entrance, or the Grand Lakes entrance and stopped at the Visitors Center there. They suggested we go back out of the park, and check out the Adams Falls path, which is apart of the National Park, but actually located outside the admission fee area of the park. Saturday, March 10, 2012. Scrapbook pages: Butterflies Make an Appearance. Time to share some more scrapbook pages. This first one about Brooke's 12th month is one of my favorite pages that I've done recently. I love the pink/green colors and I really like the idea of adding butterflies on scrapbook pages, so you might see more butterflies popping up soon. The journaling hasn't been added to this page yet, but I plan to write it in white pen in the bottom right corner. Videos I watched about creative use...

This past weekend was the Iowa Corn Indy 250 out at Iowa Speedway in Newton. There’s too much to write about in one post, so I’m going to split it up into several different ones. But this first story has to be the best part of my weekend. When we went to take a picture of him and I, he told Adam who was holding Marcus to get into the picture,...

Tuesday, September 20, 2011. Excitement Over the Little Things - Brooke and the Kids Meal. As my kids get older, they continue to teach me so much and remind me of things I have forgotten. I’m sure a lot of you can relate to this. I’ve heard the idea of giving a kid a camera and see what pictures they take because they will have such a different perception of the same things we see. When Adam got home, she wanted him to close his eyes because she wanted to show him something…. The ad for the ki...She has...
