http://criticaltastings.blogspot.com/2012/05/otter-creek-winter-red-ale.html

Tuesday, May 1, 2012. Otter Creek Winter Red Ale. Posted by Eric Branchaud. I'm a little late in getting this review posted, but our tasting for today is the Otter Creek Winter Red Ale. The Winter Red pours up a deep amber-chestnut in color with a short, off-white head. The nose finds citrus and herbal hops notes, fresh-baked bread and some malt syrup. The Otter Creek Winter Red Ale drinks like an amped-up version of their flagship Copper Ale. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Visit Our Companion Sites.

Thursday, March 29, 2012. Krakus Classic 70% Dark Chocolate. Posted by Eric Branchaud. During a recent trip to my local Polish deli my eye spied some dark chocolate bars for sale. When I saw a couple with the actual cocoa percentage listed on the label I snapped them up for tasting. The chocolate I am tasting today is a 70% dark chocolate from Krakus. Unfortunately, I really don't have much more detail than that. Tuesday, March 27, 2012. Posted by Eric Branchaud. Grand Rapids, MI. For the Centennial IPA,...

Tuesday, June 21, 2011. Posted by Eric Branchaud. Welcomes summer with the Harpoon Summer Beer:. Today we're welcoming in the summer with a review of Harpoon's Summer Beer. While I always enjoy a few Harpoon Summer Beers over the course of the summer, this was my first time enjoying it in canned form. Harpoon Summer Beer is a pale straw-gold in color and pours up a huge white clumpy/sticky head. The nose has a lagery malt note with herbal and piny hops and a hint of fruity esters. Friday, June 17, 2011.

The Hop Whisperer: December 2013

http://hopwhisperer.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html

Monday, December 30, 2013. Meridian Hops - Tasting Notes. A single-hopped Meridian Pale Ale is up for tasting next. These were 6.7% AA pellets that I got from Hop Heaven from the 2012 harvest. Pellets had aromas of apricot/peach with some dankness. The nose of the finished beer is predominately nectarines and apricots. There is also some pine and some dankness. Labels: Hop Tasting Notes. Tasting notes and reviews of premium beers. A Critical Tastings. Friday, January 28, 2011. In my glass today is the Sierra Nevada Kellerweis. This is their year-round hefeweizen. The Kellerweis pours up a hazy, golden-tan color with a thick white head. The nose detects fruit, grass and Eurolager notes. Posted by Eric Branchaud. Wednesday, January 26, 2011. The nose has citrus/grapefruit hops notes paired with a pretzely malt aroma. Posted by Eric Branchaud. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Beer Reviews by Style. Beer Reviews by Brewery.

Tasting notes and reviews of premium beers. A Critical Tastings. Tuesday, December 15, 2009. Long Trail Double Bag. Long Trail Brewing Co. Bridgewater Corners, VT. Double Bag is a potent brew at 7.2% alcohol, but it is very well-balanced. Drink this one in moderation, because it can really sneak up on you. Double Bag is a slightly hazy in the glass with a deep amber color. To me, the aroma of this beer reminds me of walking through a brewery. The nose is sweet and malty with a touch of hops.

In recent years, Pabst Blue Ribbon has been seeing a bit of a resurgence in a trendy counterculture "trailer park chic" sort of way.
