Tuesday, July 29, 2014. Hubby's sister and her kids met us this afternoon at Fernbank, a science museum in ATL. We were not meeting until around 1pm, so we decided to have some fun in the city and went shopping at IKEA and grabbed lunch at the Varsity before we met. The kids were excited to see each other! The kids having fun! They were excited about walking through the exhibits! We also visited one of the more "hands on" exhibits upstairs.I caught Sister in a bubble! I did not touch the snake). I love t...

woollypeaches: June 2015
http://woollypeaches.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 11, 2015. It is fair to say I haven't really thought about blogging in a few weeks. It isn't that I haven't had anything to share, it is just isn't a huge announcement about our next step or anything. So, we will continue to fellowship, search, play, and pray until the Lord calls us to our next step. Summer 2015 will be one we will never forget. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Monday, June 30, 2014. Brother swam with the 7/8 team and Sister is with the 6 and under group. The first night of practice to say Brother was overwhelmed is an understatement. He struggled swimming the straight 25 meters and realized he was one of the only kids who had never done swim team before. He came home pretty defeated and more than willing to leave his swim team day(s) behind. Freestyle / Sister (taking a big breath to make it to the wall). Brother reaching for the wall to win his heat- Woo Hoo!

Monday, October 27, 2014. A tradition in pictures. Ome set Your rule and reign. In our hearts again. Increase in us we pray. Unveil why we're made. Come set our hearts ablaze with hope. Like wildfire in our very souls. Holy Spirit, come invade us now. We are Your church. We need Your power in us. We seek Your kingdom first. We hunger and we thirst. Refuse to waste our lives. For You're our joy and prize. To see the captive hearts released. The hurt, the sick, the poor at peace. We are Your church. I thou...

Saturday, January 31, 2015. Sister had a pretty long birthday celebration this year. It started with her special snack day at school the Friday before her birthday, then her actual birthday she brought donuts to all the staff kids (Teacher Workday) and had dinner and cake at the fire station and today she had her party! It has been a fun filled, loving on Sister, kind of week :). Brother loved helping and she was thrilled that her dolls have a place to sleep! The sweet birthday girl! Everyone having fun ...

Helping Me Up: The middle pages
http://helpingmeup.blogspot.com/2015/07/the-middle-pages.html
Thursday, July 09, 2015. I have found myself feeling, and staying, very low. The kind of low that has you curled up in the fetal position on your closet floor. The kind of low that makes you cry in public, randomly, and without discretion. The kind of low that clouds your thinking and inhibits your ability to do things that you HAVE and NEED to do. Like parent. My kids have been trying to support me and our roles have suddenly been reversed. It feels wrong and like a huge failure on my part. In the wisdo...

Helping Me Up: October 2014
http://helpingmeup.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 28, 2014. I have had periods of complete peace since the last time I updated my blog. However, Sunday evening, my emotions started to feel like a roller coaster once again. I was able to keep myself in check, but I will admit, it was a bit of a struggle. I could feel the weight of our situation bearing down on me. We have tried to keep the kids upbeat and positive, and have tried to incorporate some fun into their weekend hospital visits. This situation is no fun. This is a scary time.

Monday, January 26, 2015. Last week we saw Steven's doctor for the first time since she shook us to the core with the declaration that Steven still had "circulating blasts". As I had earlier written, we have since found out that the blasts were NOT cancer, and as of today, he is cancer free. In St Louis, that Dr. Holden couldn't do back home. When the doctor came through the door and looked at Steven and said, ". You are doing really. During this time I have never felt more like myself.and yet,. Me I wan...
