What Budget Cuts Mean Campaign. The Toronto Education Workers were looking to promote awareness of the negative effects provincial budget cuts (and eventually job cuts) would have on the public school system. We aimed to develop a series of ads that would showcase the difference between adequately funded and improperly funded schools through black and white vs. colour illustrations. We conferred with TEW’s executive to determine suitable summaries for each job description. The approved job descriptions were matched up with custom-developed cartoon characters that reflected each job description and the overall membership demographic of the union.
