Things that may or may not happen when your husband is gone for a month: Part I. 1 Lights hanging from the ceiling - happened. I should thank Lauren. For this as she sent me down the rabbit hole of DIY-dom. The instructions are not as easily found today as they once were, read IMPOSSIBLE, so I had to wing it from a list of supplies. 1b Getting that drywall on the other side of the living room patched up so I can finally finish painting the ceiling - did not happen. Labels: around the house. February 7, 2...

small and heartfelt: Gypsy Caravan
http://smallandheartfelt.blogspot.com/2010/10/gypsy-caravan.html
Saturday, October 30, 2010. Because I just love this image. And gypsy caravans fire my imagination, even if all I know of them are myths and tales. I like myths and tales, so I guess that's okay for me. And her pinterest board. I should join pinterest, although if I were to do so, my little small and heartfelt might just go the way of the dinosaurs, since I use this blog as my pinboard. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). And check out his truck paintings, too. I don't know why I've been loving campers and airstreams lately, but I have. Actually I always have. I'm a nester at heart, and sometimes I wish I could travel with my home right there with me. Sunday, August 23, 2009. Cute Kids Rooms and Musings on My Weird Style. How adora...

Friday, June 25, 2010. Some of Lisa's Favorite Things Are My Favorite Things, Too. Look what you can do with wine crates! I really like them. They remind me of old barns mixed with built ins, mixed with boards/bricks, mixed with barrister bookcases. I do not know if I will ever be over this fixation I have with wine crates. Tuesday, July 28, 2009. Gorgeous Clutches from Red Ruby Rose. How beautiful is this purse? I could really imagine it in place of a bouquet as a bride walks down the aisle, maybe with a corsage on her wrist. A beautiful white peony on a teal silk ribbon. The thing that really knocks me out about this purse is the pop of teal inside. Loving this color scheme. Totally makes me willing to change the colors I was thinking about. However, I also have a soft spot for Lotuses. Thursday, July 16, 2009. Even bette...

small and heartfelt: Embrace the Yellow
http://smallandheartfelt.blogspot.com/2010/11/embrace-yellow.html
Tuesday, November 2, 2010. A beautiful print by Maya Donenfield. Of the always wonderful maya*made. She offers constant inspiration to me, and today, she is reminding me of something I am ready to remember how to do. To embrace all the colors of our lives, even if we think they aren't our favorites, or aren't what we should like or aren't what we are used to or aren't what we are longing for. Because there is beauty all around us and joy in all moments of life, if we can just see it. Bell and Ross replica.

Thursday, May 21, 2009. What Are You Afraid Of? What Are You Afraid Of,. I know I have been absent lately, kind of being a hermit, if you will, and have not posted. but I saw this artist. That I was included in and I fell head over heels in love. If I had a spare 500$ I would buy it. But since I don't, I have to post my love. Love love love. Her name is Darla Jackson. Glad to find her. And it is quite, uhh, coincidental that the title of this sculpture is "What Are You Afraid Of.". Also Find Me Here.

small and heartfelt: Retreat Cottage
http://smallandheartfelt.blogspot.com/2010/10/retreat-cottage.html
Wednesday, October 27, 2010. I love this little cottage. It's a tad girly for my tastes, but I love the idea. I love it as a retreat. A place to write and be creative and have peace. I have a dream that someday I might own an old farm, with outbuildings and tiny cottages scattered about, and people would come to stay and write their novel or work on their opus or just get away from it all and find themselves again. Here's a place to sit and read, or to recline with a laptop. Via pink shirts and carwrecks.
