That challenges readers (both of us) to engage in a little economical storytelling, a la Ernest Hemingway's "For sale: baby shoes, never worn.". I've commented snarkily a a couple of times, but really dig the exercise. Go read his first. My most recent attempt was this:. All Things Media, Cultural and Irrelevant. Now with extra inconsistency! Thursday, January 15, 2009. He's only the president. I would like to believe that Barack Obama could change so much more than he can. I would like to wake up on January 21st and have so much changed:. I would like health care that is based on the idea that it is a human right. I would like Americans to have some equality in education. I would like more progress on civil rights. These issues have to be addressed collectively. The...

All Things Media, Cultural and Irrelevant. Now with extra inconsistency! Monday, September 22, 2008. Google Reader: You Buy It. I used to be one of those cool techie people that used to be always ahead of the curve technologically for one reason: I enjoyed it. I'm not that person anymore; I just don't think life is improved that much more by the latest gadget.* Some new digital whatzamajiggy can't make life worth living (though I did enjoy being technologically superior to you all). I published this on my Facebook page, but I thought it was enough work to go ahead and publish it here too. February 5, 2009: All reality television shows cancelled from lack of interest. All Things Media, Cultural and Irrelevant. Now with extra inconsistency! Wednesday, January 27, 2010. What I've Been Looking At: January 27 Edition. I haven't written anything on my blog lately, but it's the dead part of winter so I thought I would just write randomly about some of the things I've been looking at/thinking about in the last few weeks. 1 What makes for quality mens clothing? Think of all the crap in your closet you've only worn a few times because it's junk! There are many other areas to e...
