The Uncle Bob Guitar Project. The design demonstrated here is suitable for urban fringe artisans where the identified materials are available. The design can be adapted to suit the materials available in other areas. This is made of the bottoms of two 20 litre vegetable oil cans. With special thanks to Rakesh Bhula. This guitar is a prototype for an upcoming workshop. The idea is to make a highly playable electric as quickly and easily as possible. Here we see the elements of the body coming together. The pine upper arm strengthens the body where the strap button will eventually be. The black tube is a piece of micro-irrigation tube and allows the pickup cable to be slid through the styrafoam body. The output socket is also mounted on a pine block.
