Here is a video of James Cracknell's cycle helmet appeal. Every 90 seconds someone is admitted to hospital in the UK with an acquired brain injury. We will be cycling in aid of Headway - the brain injury association and we would love you to support them too! We are partly funded by the Alex Richardson Award. Alex was a St Andrews student who tragically died of a brain injury in 2009 and Alex's family is now strongly involved in supporting Headway. You can donate here at our.

Often referred to as 'the longest road in the world', the Pan-American Highway is a 14000 mile route from Alaska to Argentina, passing through 14 countries. 6400 miles from Cartagena, Colombia to Ushuaia, Argentina. 2600 miles from Mexico to Colon, Panama. 4900 miles from Prudhoe Bay, Alaska to Mexico.

We are both final year students at the University of St Andrews with a shared passion for cycling and adventure. Occupation: 3rd year medical student. To attempt to break the World Record for the fastest time taken to cycle the length of the Pan American Highway. This is a 14000 mile journey from Prudhoe Bay, Alaska to Ushuaia, Argentina. The current record stands at 125 days and we are aiming to complete the trip in just 100 days. Occupation: 4th year physics student. Are we doing this?
