Isle of Wight Cycling Festival | Cycling stuff

https://cyclingthoughts.wordpress.com/2010/09/22/isle-of-wight-cycling-festival

Just another WordPress.com weblog. Isle of Wight Cycling Festival. Taking a break from strict chronological blogging, this entry is about last weekends trip to the Isle of Wight (IoW), and I’ll get back to London to Paris shortly. The IoW trip had been planned for a little while, and Steve had put a lot of effort into figuring out what was going on, what routes to do, where to stay and how to get there. This turned out to be invaluable as the Festival itself. Lovely pub right on the seafront) for lunch&#...

Friday afternoon road ride. | Cycling stuff

https://cyclingthoughts.wordpress.com/2012/09/08/friday-afternoon-road-ride

Just another WordPress.com weblog. Friday afternoon road ride. One ride does not a cyclist make, but it was nice to get out again. A day with nothing planned and nothing to stop me doing what I liked – wow, what sorcery is this? It just doesn’t happen, and yet – there it was, and most magical of all, motivation struck at the same time! More than 24 hours afterwards and I still have a smile on my face and a sore arse. Lovely. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Swinley Forest ride by gooogle at Garmin Connect – Details. Untitled by gooogle at Garmin Connect – Details. Swinley Forest is on my doorstep. I don’t get over there anywhere nearly as often as I should do, but when an old friend calls and suggests getting out for a quick blast, who am I to object? I had a great morning, and it was great to catch up with an old friend as well. Laquo; London to Paris – July 2010. Date : July 10, 2011. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

London to Paris – July 2010 | Cycling stuff

https://cyclingthoughts.wordpress.com/2010/10/17/london-to-paris-july-2010

Just another WordPress.com weblog. London to Paris – July 2010. London to Paris was a massive, unforgetable experience. I highly recommend it to anyone who’s even remotely interested in the idea of cycling 300 miles. Even doing it over 3 days as we did, we had people riding who had only started riding just for this event, and I have to say I thought everyone did fantastically. The hardest bit was the hotels themselves. Laquo; Isle of Wight Cycling Festival. Date : October 17, 2010. Enter your comment here.

Magic Wands? | Cycling stuff

https://cyclingthoughts.wordpress.com/2011/07/19/magic-wands

Just another WordPress.com weblog. What would I do if I had a magic wand that really worked? My son asked me this and it got me thinking. What WOULD I do? What would I change if I could? I’m not thinking about earth shattering life changes (no castles or supercars from this wand I’m afraid), but simply what could I do better? What would you do with a magic wand? Laquo; Swinley Forest ride by gooogle at Garmin Connect – Details. Friday afternoon road ride. Date : July 19, 2011. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Cycling The World

January 13, 2016. April 6, 2016. Five Must-Have Things for Your Ideal Staycation. Staycation in Singapore is never far away from the beach as the city is spread across an island. The tropical heat forces most residents to look for water holes which can be either a hotel swimming pool or closest beach to the homestay. Keeping an extra pair of swimwear does not hurt as it occupies very less space and can be very useful when you want to enjoy a quick dip to cool off. Wine and cheese picnic set.

Cycling the World for Birds

Cycling the World for Birds. Thursday, August 13, 2015. There was no place to hang a hammock in the rundown building, while most of the floor space was already consumed by the large tent they had pitched inside it. No problem, if you can’t beat them, join them! And so I was invited to share the tent for the night. That night it rained, and so did the roof. Franco moved quickly to get the flysheet over the tent, which saved us from the worst that the downpour had to offer. With Nico and Franco. Also known...
