Somethings squeeky in the wall. Two kinds of philosophizing, with applications to God. Philosophy can be used to engage reality, and can be used to escape reality. The reality and live in the world as if our delusions were true. In that case, instead of using philosophy to engage reality and to gain insight into what is really true, we are using it to escape from reality and from the truth. Used CD shopping rocks (literally and figuratively). I don't actually have much to say this entry. My previous one was much more interesting. I will say that I am curious these days about how the wording of prayer affects the person who is praying. I am also curious what might be a good single word for "person who is praying". "Petitioner" only seems to cover one aspect of prayer, and obviously "prayer" is going to get confusing. And Kung Fun Hustle. I watched Saturday Night Fever. Post a new comment.

Why not more complex? Maybe it is because coming up with a principle at all requires abstraction, and abstraction inherently filters out differences between objects in favor of their similarity. Abstraction, and principles, then are mere conveniences and not necessarily truths. They may be evolved in us to help us to survive with limited mental resources (less brain to cool/protect). They certainly give good bang for your buck. I'll bet some philosophers have said a lot of stuff on this kind of thing&#46...

Baking bread - Humans Aren't Rational

Very good bread made with basic ingredients and a simple recipe. The ingredients cost about $2-4 with organic flour to make 3 loaves, which is still about 3 times cheaper than buying it in the store. And I like it much better than any bread I can find in any store or market (but maybe only because it's fresh). Baking bread is especially efficient in the winter, where the heat from the oven isn't wasted. 17th-Jan-2009 01:45 am (UTC). 你们可不可以回来我身边，我好想你们。。。有人说：“幸福需要自己争取的，可是，勉强的爱情能幸福吗？” 就算争取了，他不喜欢自己，有什么用？昨天听见隔壁的小孩叫他的爷爷，突然我好想念我的爷爷。。。我从来没有叫过他爷爷，我只叫他阿公，因为是福建人的关系，从小就被教叫阿公，有一天，我的朋友告诉我，阿嫲和奶奶是不同的，我才恍然大悟，原来一直以来我都没真正的叫过他们。。。日子过了七个月零一天，这天刚好是PMR政府考试的最后一天，考华语作文，这天才是我人生中最痛苦的，家里发生了事情，却不能呆在家，得去学校考试。。。也是一样，我奶奶病逝了。。。她一直以来身体都很强健的，在她发现病情的前几个月才检查身体，那家医院说我奶奶身体很好，没什么。。。怎知，半年都没到，她突然因肚子痛送进南华医院，可是之前爷爷的那笔开销还没...好久沒來訴苦了。。。今天就來吧。。。哈哈。。。那是因為我一直看著他的背影。。。一直以來都是。。。一邊看向他的課室。。。還是我還是勉強看到。。。我家沒錢我們還是寂寞。。。也是沒有生命的東西陪我。。。或許是我任性。。。一天沒有超過3小時。。。我一直都一個人。&#1229...

Cyn in het leven. Cyn in het kort. Zoals ik in ‘Cyn in het kort‘ al vertel heeft mijn ware mij ten huwelijk gevraagd. Geweldig! Op zondagavond kwam ik uit mijn werk, stond het hele huis vol met waxinelichtjes (in olvaritpotjes! Stond er …. Heb ik goed getraind? Mwah… Afgelopen maandag heb ik 8 km gelopen, dus dan zou het moeten kunnen. Het was echter wel de eerste en de laatste keer dat ik verder dan 6,2 km aan 1 …. Ik kijk op de klok (lees: magnetron) en zie dat het nog niet eens 09:00 uur is. Huh?

Last night was an epic event for the debut performance of Dj Dinosaurs! 3 Vodka drinks till midnight and music that had everyone (and i mean everyone) dancing all night. This venue mixed with the musical mixing talents of one Jon Pancoast (AKA DJ Dinosaurs) made for one crowded dance floor. The venue itself was great too. Main on Main. May 17, 2011.
