What's New with You? Friday, February 19, 2010. We found out the day before the surgery that he was the oldest kid scheduled for surgery that day and he was going to be last! How in the world are you supposed to keep a 4 year old from eating and drinking all day? We arrived at the hospital at 1:00pm tired and hungry. Luckily for us Jack didn't complain one bit about not being able to eat or drink anything. We kept him busy with the fish tank in the waiting room and our wonderful DVD player. The surgery w...

What's New with You? Thursday, September 9, 2010. Jack is officially a Kindergartner! Here are some pics to document the big day. On Monday night before school started Jack got to pick where we would have dinner and he picked Brick Oven. I had to laugh because we had only been there once or twice but I guess it stuck with him. We had a lot of fun and of course the food was delicious! Here is Jack getting his school hair cut. He used to be terrible when getting his hair cut but now handles it with ease.

The Snow Report: December 2011
http://jennyandjake.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 29, 2011. We had a fun Christmas season this year. The girls loved reading Christmas stories by the Christmas tree with daddy. They especially loved hearing the Nutcracker story however they weren't quite so sure about meeting him. A fierce looking Nutcracker and ballerina came to our library to visit the kids. Madison was pretty scared of the Nutcracker as you can see in the pictures. Posted by Jenny and Jake. This was Madison's third dance recital. She absolutely loves dance clas...

Sunday, November 27, 2011. What a fun Halloween! Madison and Emerie had a great time dressing up this year. Madison wanted to be Sleeping Beauty riding a flying unicorn and Emerie picked out her dinosor costume. Emerie gave some great scary faces as she roared around the house and neighborhood! They loved going to Halloween parties! Madison even had a Hallween parade at her preschool. There is nothing like going around getting lots of candy! Love their family themed costume! The Snow Report: First Day At The Beach
http://jennyandjake.blogspot.com/2012/09/first-day-at-beach.html
Saturday, September 8, 2012. First Day At The Beach. This last spring we went to Hilton Head Island in SC. We absolutely loved it! We have been to Myrtle beach and this was ten times better! It was such a nice family friendly place! We stayed at a condo right on the beach! We could wake up and just walk outside to the beach! I knew it wouldn't be a vacation if we had to get in and out of a car to go to the beach. Kids and lots of sand and a car don't mix very well:). It was so much fun to watch! Don't th...

Out West: Our Gratitude Turkey
http://wildwestutah.blogspot.com/2011/12/our-gratitude-turkey.html
Steven.Alison.Michaela.Andrea.Steen.Elisa. Sunday, December 4, 2011. This year, we started a new Thanksgiving tradition. In November we put a turkey up on our pantry door and everyday (although we forgot a lot) we wrote on a feather one thing we were grateful for. Then on Thanksgiving, we were supposed to read through everything that was written. (That didn't happen yet.but the year is not over). Here is what everyone wrote:. What Elisa said: DAD! I can't wait to do it again next year!

Later Slater: Happy Halloween
http://candaceandryan.blogspot.com/2010/11/happy-halloween.html
What's New with You? Monday, November 1, 2010. The kiddos had opinions on this one. Finding a penguin costume turned out to be nearly impossible and Jack didn't want to be anything else. What is a mom to do? Yeah right I don't sew! Luckily I have a good friend who would help me and my mom saved me. With a lot of help and encouragement I actually made Jack a penguin costume. For my first project I think it turned out pretty cute. One of my favorite is Laney. She was a cute and cuddly peacock! On Saturday ...

The Snow Report: October 2011
http://jennyandjake.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 21, 2011. Just one little smile. I worked hard to get just one little smile out of Adelaide and you can see the beginnings of a few. Of course, it's hard to smile for a camera:). This cute little girl has turned two months! She has begun to smile and chat away. She is sleeping much better and so we are sleeping much better. She is a lot happier and such a cute little snuggler! We just love our little Adelaide. The girls continue to give her lots of love and attention. Diggin in the dirt.
