Standing in my parents’ shower last night (I’m visiting them for Christmas), I remembered a time that I felt. I grew up thinking I had to achieve at a certain level and. Certain things in order to feel content as a person. While being a good student, musician, wife, daughter, or other roles that I play(ed) in my life is great, it’s ultimately not where my joy comes from.
