Wednesday, June 11, 2008. Berlin vs. Prague. When we were in Berlin, I noticed several differences in the atmosphere/people. It's like I'm trying to compare orchids and lilies; they are so similar but so different and I like them both. But parts of each city appeal to me more, like the Prague how much value tradition has, and how in Berlin they are more progressive and less hostile? Tuesday, August 12, 2008. In light of Recent Events, I've been trying to be as busy as humanly possible with different pre-moving tasks. These include but are not limited to:. 1 Touching up and cleaning my dresser and bedside table. They were somewhat grubby and the paint was chipped when I got them from the thrift store - I couldn't tell if the paint was yellow from age, or just yellow. Monday, June 9, 2008. We all headed to the Metro Station and took it to the main train station in Prague. The station really looked like an abandoned airport (I wish I had a picture of it for you). We power-walked to the platform and had about 5 minutes to spare before the train pulled up to the station. The ride to Berlin was pretty uneventful - I slept for about 3 hours of it. The train (L-R: Nancy and Scott). I definitely took it as a good sign. Our tram stop in Berlin. A little scary. It took a while...
