I dug through the scrap wood pile and found unused pieces of walnut, cherry, Ash, and maple wood. Even a few pieces of burr oak. I have made cutting boards in the past, but not to the degree that I did this year. Not only did I get rid of quite a few pieces of hard wood, I used up a lot of glue that I had on hand. Dag Wood Shop Notes. Tuesday, February 23, 2016. Four old used boards from the scrap pile. Finally he reaches into his little bag of toys and pulls out this new tool that he has just purchased. He excitedly smiles as if he has been waiting for that perfect moment to implement this new never-fail procedure assuring me that from what he has read, this will work pretty slick. I can't help but think of what this bill is going to amount to. It worked. (Thank God! All the parts are measured and cut to size.
