View from a bard. Thursday, June 6, 2013. WHY DO YOU WRITE? I fill blank paper. With all I have left. We all share poverty:. Winos sleeping on concrete,. Children with weekend fathers. But the sun strolls over the horizon. And steam lifts off the frost. Floats high and mingles. With the blue flower of sky. The sun is a pulsing heart. Offering the earth life. To wake to bright sunlight. And open a window to the weather. As the sun stays put,. While we on the ground. Turn away again and again.

http://librarycartoons.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html

Clogging the internet since 2006. Monday, April 30, 2007. Our library has an extensive catalog of magazines, some archived issues going back many, many years. The location of specific titles requires us to vault up and down a few flights of stairs to obtain them. Of course, some patrons seem to know this and purposely request volumes of heavy, obscure magazine collections, with no other reason I can think of but to see us suffer. Thursday, April 26, 2007. Clogging the internet since 2006. Sunday, May 11, 2008. Truthfully, I don't watch any of the CSI shows on TV, but after getting an idea from one of my co-workers, N.B., I thought it would be fun to take the classic detective scenario and put it in a library. This might have the potential for later episodes.stay tuned! Have you read the graphic novel Bookhunter. It's about a crack detective team tracking down stolen books at the Oakland Public Library. I hope it is. The first in a series. View from a bard.

Clogging the internet since 2006. Monday, May 19, 2008. Once again, I'm a little late on posting a new cartoon. I think it has something to do with the warmer weather we've been having and being at the Oregon coast for the weekend. The idea behind this post started with a suggestion from R.K. It was slightly different at the beginning, but after a couple of little tweaks, this is the end result. I call it "The Loquacious Patron.". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Saturday, October 21, 2006. This is my attempt at making a cartoon blog, based on the life of a library employee. I'm not sure if it'll lead anywhere, but maybe I'll make another one in a week or so. Clogging the internet since 2006. Friday, May 02, 2008. I've fallen behind schedule with my usual posting because I didn't have a cartoon ready for this past Sunday (sorry! I finally finished what I've been working on and was going to wait a couple more days, but decided to hurry things along and just get it online. The "Martian Squeeze Thing" is called a "Bug Out Bob". I got one for Paul a few years back when I was traveling a lot. The toy stores at the airports had them. They're GREAT! View from a bard.

Clogging the internet since 2006. Thursday, May 17, 2007. Yep, that's right folks. At the risk of losing my fan base (four people), I'm taking some time off for the summer. It will give me a chance to create some kind of publication with my cartoons.a very lo-fi approach, probably just a zine of sorts. Clogging the internet since 2006. Sunday, April 20, 2008. I'm not sure what prompted this week's cartoon. I guess it's some kind of deep seated fear of being embarrassed in front of a large group of people, or children in this case.something that probably goes back to my own childhood and fear of public speaking. The Page in the room tries not to scream, not to scream, not to scream.". Are the kids who go to Story Stop even old enough to be cracking wise? Hillarious - I laughed out loud this week!
