I wrote eight books and hundreds of articles on my old 1958 solid steel Olympia portable, which I bought used in 1978 for $150 at Osner's on Amsterdam Avenue. It has been 20 years since I switched over to my first Mac but I started missing my old Olympia the other day so I got it out of the closet and had a look. It's still a beautiful machine, isn't it?
