Tuesday, January 8, 2013. Day 6: Serve. Proclaim. Disciple. Leading a team in Karamoja will be quite different, but I'm excited for the challenge. It will be strange to have this place, which is normally so quiet, buzzing with visitors, but the enthusiasm, probing questions, and boundless energy that short-termers bring will be refreshing. Thursday, April 18, 2013. We are ever relaxing! This week we're enjoying some much needed R&R in Jinja, the most touristy town in Uganda. It's an absolutely beautiful little city. Friday, March 22, 2013. I have been reading a number of fantastic books lately. In the Great Books course I'm teaching, we've been reading Augustine's Confessions. And Dorothy Sayers' The Nine Tailors. I've read the Confessions. At least three times (that's what you get when you study ancient/medieval history in college). Looking at the work here long term, we see a real need for able, educated young people that can one day be trained for ministry.
