Monday, June 29, 2009. P-Day Road Trip to West Iceland. Green moss and more beautiful waterfalls. The volcanic rocks are all covered in bright green moss in the background. Now, where did I lose Elder Koyle. I know he is around here somewhere". On our road trip we seen many of these marshmallow. This was a huge waterfall. This volcanic rock hill reminded me of our Blackrock. This would be great to go tubing down, wouldn't it? This was a big green covered mountain with a big crack in it. Hole in this rock.

http://icelandmission.blogspot.com/2010/03/nyir-truboaraftur-new-missionariesagain.html
Nýir Trúboðar.Aftur (New Missionaries.Again). Whether I pay attention or not. Whether I get busy in my regular life or not, new missionaries continue to go to Iceland to help the great people there understand who they are in the Great Plan of Happiness. The newest additions to the missionary group in Iceland are ones who have been married many years. They are David and Bonnie Ashby. If we can't be there, this just might be the next best thing! Nice, hello from hot Oman.:).

Today we drove out to get some pictures of the eruption and the ash cloud. It was huge! Continued Story of "Little Volcano". Saturday, May 15, 2010. Visit with the President of Iceland. May 15, 2010. This was an old table that we sat around as we visited with the President. He told us that this was the oldest table in Iceland. It looked very Viking Style. We were served apple juice and pancakes. This was a polar bear skin that Greenland had given the President. I thought Elder Koyle was going to ask if he could keep it. The next two pictures are statues that were given to the President by the Icelandic Association of Utah.

Tuesday, July 28, 2009. Reykjavik, Fish Dinner, and Iceland's Beauty. This is looking toward our apartment. Our little apartment "hut" is real close to that big tall church. Another view of Reykjavik. Another view of Reykjavik. Elder Koyle on one of our walks. Another marshmallow farm. It is so interesting how they put their hay in these big white plastic bags right in the field. It looks like giant marshmallows. We decided to eat outside in our backyard. Elder Koyle in the middle of July with his coat on.
